Super Stylish and well maintained and clean. The service was great and the team from reception to bar staff were brilliant. The location was ok, but we were quite happy with a little walk, the first day it was about 25 minutes to the old town but not so picturesque. The following day we took a little stroll through a garden route to town which was much nicer. We were there for a concert, which was about a 20 minute taxi drive. We used the facilities from the roof top bar, enjoying the tacos and cocktails of an evening, as well as breakfast on the Sunday. We also used the lobby bar which was very relaxed. We didn't get around to trying the Peruvian restaurant, but it looked nice.
I'd give it a 10 out of 5! I've stayed in so many hotels across Europe, and this one is by far the best. The room was incredibly spacious, and a 1.8-meter bed is a rare find. It was super clean and hygienic, and the bathroom was also spacious and modern. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. We booked breakfast for one day, which was €20 per person – pretty decent.
The hotel is about 200 meters from the UN building. From there, it's a pleasant 600-800 meter walk directly to the Parliament, then to Mont des Arts, and on to the Manneken Pis. Another 200 meters brings you to the Grand Place, and a 400-meter turn takes you to the St. Michael and St. Gudula Cathedral. It's incredibly convenient!
Alternatively, you can take the metro three stops from the hotel to the cathedral, and then walk back along the route I just described, ending up right back at the hotel after your sightseeing.
Near the UN building, there's a restaurant called Zhao's Noodles, and their rice noodles are fantastic – highly recommended!
For mussels, I highly recommend Che Leon near the Grand Place. A small set meal for two, plus an extra drink, is plenty.
If you're craving Chinese food, take metro line 1 or 5 for four stops from the hotel. Within 300 meters of the station, you'll find several Chinese supermarkets like Jinyuan Supermarket and Wanli Supermarket. All the Chinese restaurants you could want – Yang Guo Fu, Tian Tian Restaurant, Xiao Gu Ma, Lanzhou Lamian – are within 50-100 meters. So convenient!
