The hotel is a bit old, but it's clean and well-equipped. The room was small, and the outlets were inconveniently located near the floor. It's super quick to get to the station – just turn left after exiting! To get to Bruges city center, it's about a ten-minute walk. The Basilica of the Holy Blood was quite unique. I stumbled upon a market and found some really cheap food like grilled pork chops, chicken legs, and pork knuckles – I ate my fill! There's a Carrefour Express downstairs; things aren't particularly cheap, but they have 500ml cokes for €0.50, which is a good deal!
Hotel to be recommended
Excellent experience, fantastic breakfast with a view, very attentive staff, very adequate (basic) room (the large ones must be great), very pleasant, almost luxurious environment, full of little touches, like chocolates on arrival, and a triple socket to plug all devices in one place. A place I will return to.
Hotel parking should be parked in the open space next to the church entrance, and at most, it can be parked for 9 hours. It is impossible to pay the parking fee beyond the time. We did not drive the car in time and received a ticket of 25 euros. The hotel is in the city center and the location is very good.
The room was clean, the location was excellent, the building was very distinctive, and the front desk service was very good! Must be praised. Equipped with bars and restaurants. very satisfied! The surrounding environment is also very good!
Very nice hotel perfectly based between Oostende and Brugge. Located on a lake side, very calm position and cheaper than others. Well recommended but the shower tray sealant in the bathroom could have been changed or bleached as it was full of black mould all over. Pity as shower was good and quite wide. Room small but its an ibis budget and it is enough space for 2 people. Comfy bed too
Easily accessible from the train station by bus 2 (15-minute ride - you can pay with a credit card on the bus).
I recommend buying day tickets for €9 at the train station - this allows you to travel as often as you like throughout the day - buses every 10 minutes.
Generally: Hotel more like 3*, breakfast more like 2*
4* used to be 40 years ago - not much has changed in the hotel since then - patina everywhere (especially the Japanese garden)
There are only 3 floors - we had a view of the roof of the neighboring building.
Plus points:
Very spacious rooms, drinking fountain for tea making, e.g., in the lobby, refrigerator in the room.
Coffee at breakfast is usually a disaster in every hotel - however, there is a coffee machine that brews freshly and even has decaf beans - drinkable.
Great location, close to the center. The rooms are spacious and come with a coffee and tea machine. There's parking nearby, though the square below our room was naturally noisy on market day mornings, but nothing too concerning.
Very cute and small luxury hotel with friendly service, located in the center of Bruges, walking distance to all attractions. Breakfast is less selective, not as selective as the big restaurants outside.
Great central location between Dunkerque and Bruges. The family room was perfect for a family of four - double bed and a bunk bed for the kids. Breakfast was good, service excellent
The receptionist asked me for a deposit of 100eur for the room and mixed up 2 numbers on my card and told me that I could not access the room without a deposit. I lost 20 minutes before she realized her mistake. The hotel is acceptable but not exceptional. It is the minimum, ideal for one night but no more!
