I stayed at Kusum Airport Hotel, Kathmandu ๐ณ๐ต for 3 nights (April 1st โ April 4th), and overall it was a really good experience.
The location is very convenient, especially for travelers since itโs close to the airport โ๏ธ. The room was clean, comfortable, and perfect to relax after a long day. What I enjoyed the most was the food โ very tasty and satisfying, definitely something I looked forward to every day.
A very special thanks to Sachin Thapa ๐
He was honestly one of the best parts of my stay. Always welcoming with a smile, very respectful, and gave excellent service every time. He made sure everything was smooth and comfortable, and his positive attitude really stood out. Staff like him make a place feel more than just a hotel.
The only thing that needs improvement is the bathroom, which wasnโt up to the same standard as the rest of the hotel.
Other than that, everything else was great โ good service, nice atmosphere, and a comfortable stay overall. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Kathmandu, especially if you want a convenient location and good food ๐
Bhaktapur was my favorite place in Nepal, and staying at this hotel made my stay even more enjoyable.
1. This was the best night I slept in Nepal. Previously, in Kathmandu, the area near the Big Stupa was very noisy at night, and in Pharping and Lumbini, there were many animal noises. This hotel was quiet despite being in a noisy area; except for the crowing of roosters in the morning, it was very peaceful.
2. It's not far from any of the squares, about a 6-10 minute walk.
3. The interior and exterior were clean and tidy, and the shower water pressure in the bathroom was strong and hot, a huge improvement over my previous stays.
4. The breakfast was simple, but the carbohydrates, protein, and fruit were well-balanced, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
In short, I will definitely stay here again if I go to Bhaktapur.
Sara's Backpackers Hotel is really all right. The location is practical, you come quickly to important places like the Pashupatinath Temple or Garden of Dreams. The rooms are clean, but something simple furnished. Wi-Fi GIFTS free, but sometimes a little slow.
The staff is super friendly and helps in everything whether to travel or ask about the surroundings. Breakfast is also OK, but not Mega especially โ keep country type. Rooftop terrace is really a highlight, beautiful view to relax.
Also gives bikes to borrow what is cool. a few things could be better, for example the beds are a little hard and shower could be more modern. overall, but good price-performance ratio.
Would come back if I'm in the area! โญโญโญโญ
The owner is very nice, and the hotel staff are also very welcoming. When it rained, they offered to hold an umbrella for us and call a taxi. They are very polite. The room was cleaned promptly and very cleanly. They also have Chinese food here, which is very delicious. Staying here feels like being at home.
I stayed at Hyatt Centric Kathmandu and was pleasantly surprised โ the room was actually better than in the photos! Spacious, clean, and beautifully designed, with stunning views of the mountains, the city, and even the Monkey Temple. Definitely a highlight of the stay.
The rooftop pool was decent, not too crowded and with a nice ambiance. I also ordered room service once โ the food was just okay, and the breakfast was a bit underwhelming, especially for a Hyatt. The selection was quite limited for this brand's usual standard.
One downside was my arrival experience. I came down from a taxi and noticed there were no bellboys or concierge staff outside to help with my luggage โ maybe due to a staff shortage? Only once I approached the lobby did a staff member assist me and take my bags to the room. Thankfully, check-in itself was smooth and fast, and I appreciated being allowed to enter my room before the standard 2 PM check-in time. The welcome drink was also a nice touch.
All in all, the room and view were excellent โ probably the best part of this Hyatt. Just a bit more attention to guest arrival and food variety would make the experience even better.

First of all, I'd like to thank the manager, Kamal.
I initially canceled my reservation due to riots in Kathmandu, but then rebooked after hearing that the city was beginning to calm down. He always provided me with the latest information and made excellent arrangements after the rebooking.
The rooms were spacious, connecting, and had a bathtub. The hot water was powerful and the air conditioning was also excellent.
This type of room was the only one with a refrigerator.
However, the noise from the restaurant above was very loud on the sixth floor, so I recommend staying on the fifth floor or lower.
The beds were available in soft double and firm single sizes.
It's a matter of preference, but I found the softer ones bothersome, like the person next to me tossing and turning.
If you want a good night's sleep, it's better to request a twin room.
There's a water dispenser in the hallway, so you can refill your water as often as you like using the bottles in your room.
Most of the reception staff spoke English and were very helpful and provided a variety of information.
However, I did feel that hospitality varied depending on the person.
There is a laundry service, but the hotel charges per item, so I recommend using one of the many nearby shops that cost 200 rupees per kilo.
The rooftop terrace restaurant has a great view and the food is delicious.
However, I'm not a big fan of the spices used in Nepalese food, so I found Indian curry to be better.
The breakfast buffet ๐ฝ was slightly changed every day and was delicious.
The restaurant staff were also very hospitable and lovely.
The location is great, just south of Thamel.
It's within walking distance of Durbar Square and Asain Market, and there are convenience stores, markets, and restaurants nearby, so it was a very convenient location.
For this price, it's of this quality. I'm sure there are many other options, but if we come again, we'll definitely book here!

Thanks to the tour groups overbooking the west wing I was put into a twin suite room and discovered room service at the Dalai La. Having had weeks of Dahl and rice and noodles, it was great to binge on pizza and burgers. Internet was a bit intermittent on the 5th floor but the room is quieter than those facing the courtyard in the west wing.

Royal Atlantic Home was a very nice hotel. We had a room in the 4th floor with a balcony that was very nice to sit there and have your breakfast or coffee. Our stay was including a basic breakfast with coffee.
The people working in the hotel were very helpful and polite. They helped us with our luggage as there is not a lift and they answered all of our questions. They even helped us with our city tour and it was amazing. Noris, our driver was very good! He took us 2 full days around kathmandu and he was waiting patiently always. Thank you for everything!

RRebieAll was good except there is no lift/ elevator but still we enjoyed the hospitable and accommodating staff. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast spread. Location was also great within Thamel.
GGuest UserExcellent hotel, close to the center of Thamel, but relatively quiet for the area.
The staff is very pleasant and available for any request.
I recommend it.
