My daughter stayed at the hotel for one night before leaving Durham after graduating. The hotel was quite large, with a resort-like feel, and the rooms were spacious. However, there were very few staff members; only one person handled check-in at the lobby, and they gave me the wrong room key, forcing me to walk across the entire hotel to get it back. No one helped with the luggage cart, and I couldn't even offer a tip.
The front desk staff has done a marvelous job with the day-to-day operations and making sure I was taken care of. The housekeeping staff is always respectful and polite, and doesn’t mind going beyond the expectations.
Wow!! This beautiful hotel totally exceeded our expectations! We were having some issues with a third-party booking agent and the desk clerk Derek did an outstanding job of helping us through the challenges. Every aspect of the hotel is first class! The decor is beautiful. The room was fantastic and they offer many nice touches like a wine reception, upscale toiletries and comfortable robes and the sheets were very soft. The hotel manager, Anna was extremely friendly, professional, and accommodating. If you are looking for a hotel in the downtown Asheville area, you will love this hotel! We have stayed at many nice hotels over the years, and this hotel is definitely an A+.
If you’re looking for a simple, no-frills place to rest your head for the night, Motel 6 usually gets the job done. It’s not fancy, but it’s functional. The prices are reasonable, especially if you're on a tight budget or just passing through town.
Rooms are generally clean and straightforward—bed, bathroom, TV, and A/C. Don’t expect luxury, but most locations keep things tidy. I appreciate that they often allow pets with no extra charge, which is a huge plus for folks traveling with furry companions.
Staff friendliness can vary depending on location, but I’ve had more good than bad experiences. Check-in is usually quick, and they try to accommodate special requests when they can.
The biggest perk? You usually know what you’re getting. Whether it’s a small town or a city edge, Motel 6 tends to offer consistent value without surprises.
Overall, it’s a solid choice when you just need a clean room, a hot shower, and a good night’s sleep without breaking the bank.

It’s an obsolete hotel.
Standard American breakfast.
The room is spacious.., but the bathroom is tiny.
The shower was horrible.., and the TV was not turning on.
The hotel stays 15-20 minutes by foot to the Spectrum Center (Hornets game).
I’d not stay again.
More than 12 o'clock to allow early check-in, the service is very good! Twin room can sleep 4 people (slightly squeezed) There is a fitness room and a free laundry room on the ground floor. The surrounding environment is good, there is no difference in the Duke campus and in the forest, especially close to business schools and law schools. Breakfast for $20, standard American buffet (Bacon sausage, potato and fruit scrambled eggs, customizable quiche)
Because I participated in the graduation ceremony of my daughter Wake Forest University, I specially chose this nearest hotel. It is usually about 100 knives. The day of stay is the day before the graduation ceremony. The price has increased by 50%. The overall is relatively clean and tidy. The configuration of the hotel is convenient.

LLyte of DayI checked in about 11pm and I few things with there was no cart available I was told they were in use so me and my sister just started carrying our stuff up to the room get off the elevator on the 7th floor there were 2 carts sitting right there then I booked and paid extra for panoramic view but got a view of the highway and trees and my curtains wouldn’t close all the way so in the morning sun was beaming right on my face
NNotUrAvgGayGuyHotel is clean enough for the price paid. Easy check in. Area seemed to get a bit rougher at night than it seemed like it would... Overall a decent place to stay if you're looking for a no frills room to stay the night. Elevator is not working so be prepared to climb stairs to the 2nd or 3rd floors unless you're lucky enough to secure a 1st floor room.

EEverythingFirst door was jammed so I had to get another room. It was jammed also but I kept it because I needed it. There was vomit by my room but I guess the don't have cleaners at night so I woke up to seeing it too. Bugs are getting better. But the staff was kind.
JJulio JoseThe dirtiness of the property as well as the smells all around was a letdown but even in the room the floors were not properly cleaned.. you see clear dirt on the corners and the floors. Too much money for what it was
JJeffrey BurkeyRoom was showing a bit of wear and tear ( arrest stained and chairs with tears in upholstery). Service was ok. We had stayed here years ago and definitely down hill from then.
GGuest UserThe service was amazing. They kept the cake cold in the fridge for me, took everything upstairs for me while I parked and even found an item I left when we flew out at 4am the next day! They held the item until my mother came to get it and I was just so happy how honest the staff is I’m so please with everyone, they are amazing here!!
