When I visited Beihai last April, I was captivated by Asaka, and right then I decided I would definitely stay there someday. I chose Summit over Ferris Wheel Hotel, as it was a personal obsession. For families, I'd probably recommend the Ferris Wheel Hotel instead.
Regarding parking at Summit: Although the parking lot isn't directly underneath the hotel, I found the hotel's shuttle service to be very prompt and convenient. So, parking wasn't a big issue. If you don't have much luggage, it's also a walkable distance—it's really not far, unless you're traveling with elderly people.
Regarding food delivery: While external food delivery can't come directly to your room at Summit, it can be delivered to the Beihai Light Cinema reception on the first floor. This is quite convenient; you just take the elevator down to pick it up.
I booked a Superior Sea View King Room, and the front desk upgraded me to a Deluxe Sea View King Room. The view was truly amazing! I really love the concept of Asaka Hotel, and it's simply a paradise for cat lovers. All in all, I will definitely be going back; one night wasn't nearly enough to experience everything. Next time, I'll try the Ferris Wheel Hotel!

JJingcaixiaoyaojingThe room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

GGuest UserBooked a room at Shangri-La Guilin via Trip.com, and my experience far exceeded expectations! The river-view room offered an amazing vista, with floor-to-ceiling windows directly overlooking the breathtaking Li River scenery. Waking up to the misty morning view felt like stepping into a painting – absolutely enchanting. Although the hotel has been open for many years, it's exceptionally well-maintained, exuding an elegant charm without feeling dated, truly showcasing the quality of a seasoned five-star establishment. I was pleasantly surprised to encounter peacocks on the grounds and even got to see one display its stunning feathers up close – it was both graceful and therapeutic. The breakfast is arguably the best among hotels in Guilin; it boasts a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options, with authentic freshly made Guilin rice noodles and quick replenishment of fresh items. The service was attentive and thoughtful throughout, making my entire stay comfortable and hassle-free. This is definitely a must-stay when visiting Guilin; I'll choose it again on my next trip!

GGuest UserOur stay was excellent! My mom kept raving about how clean the hotel was, the spacious room, and the great service. We originally booked a room in Building B, but the front desk staff upgraded us to Building A because we had a lot of luggage and my mom is older. Building A has an elevator, which was very convenient. The room had a lovely minimalist, natural wood style – exactly what I like – and a small balcony. The balcony faced the mountains, so the air was fresh, and we could hear birds chirping. My mom and I really enjoyed sitting out there and having tea. There's a huge rooftop terrace with breathtaking views of the mountains and the river. The hotel is super close to West Street, about a 30-meter walk, but despite West Street being bustling, the hotel itself was very quiet. I'd definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to my friends. Overall, a fantastic experience! It's also very close to all the surrounding scenic spots.

GGuest UserIf I could give 10 stars I would!!!! I came across
This hotel on instagram and I knew I just had to book it!
We have traveled through China and stayed at lots
Of different hotels and but this has been by far the best hotel for service and everything.
Love love love our room and view! Definitely try to book building 2, as it’s the main building.
The kids loved playing outside, it’s like our backyard, has everything from playground to animals and all different experience. The kids loved the outdoor pool!
The breakfast was good, abit of everything. They even provided us with afternoon high tea as well as Chinese desert soup delivered to my room.
Not to mention i troubled the hotel staff to collect my online shopping for me from local post office and they did it with no explain. Had a butler service who managed everything for us. Totally worth every penny! I would definitely come back to LS hotel again in the future and without my kids!

CcessiegurlwunderI specifically picked this hotel as I was attracted by the view from the room. The hotel room turns out to be at another building within 2-3 minutes walk from the main hotel. The staff took initiative to inform me in advance on where to navigate to prior to my arrival. Also as I had some Taobao deliveries sent in advance, they also made sure my delivery items were placed in my room for my convenience.
The room has an excellent view of the Shi Li Hua Lang and on my last night of stay (Friday), i even saw fireworks from a distance.
The complimentary breakfast of either western or Chinese style; also came with a small buffet selection. I personally preferred the Chinese style. They also provided one complimentary welcome fruits (with canned drinks in the fridge) as well as one complimentary afternoon tea (two beverage and two dessert) during my stay. The staff kindly sent the afternoon tea over to our room for us to enjoy. There were also other complimentary activities which we did not join as we primarily wanted to just enjoy time seeing the view from our room.
I love the room for its design and it was kept very clean and well maintained. The staff on premise were very friendly and my favorite part was the cats on the premise who enjoyed getting pets and treats from me. There was also a grand piano at my hotel lobby, and i got to play on it.
The hotel also tied up with Ethan Photography for a complimentary photoshoot with costumes and 3 free photos. We booked a session and decided to top up for make up services plus extra photos. I have to compliment the make up artist who was very efficient and has great make up skills. All my friends who saw my photos said I look good in them. All in all, it was a great photography experience as they went the extra mile to bring us to nice scenic spots around the hotel vicinity. The service staff was not pushy at all and took time to share what packages were available. My mum and I settled on a package that we felt was reasonable and we received all the beautifully edited digital photos on the next day morning.

JJenny HsitayHotel is located just at the exit of the long corridor from the pier where cruises from Guilin disembark. It’s about 5 minutes walk to the bustling West Street pedestrian street. I booked a Li river view room which is also facing the street. However, it is not noisy at all as the area is quiet at night. Pillows & mattresses are comfortable, we slept well. Breakfast was great and dishes were varied on the 2 days we were there. Service from hotel staff were great, very courteous & helpful. The only issue we faced was the TV was difficult to connect as the cable was lose and we kept having to manually adjusting until the connection is up. Highly recommended hotel in Yangshuo.

GGuest UserThis was the best hotel experience we've had in Yangshuo! We're a family of three, and they kindly upgraded us to a suite upon arrival. The room was spacious, and while we couldn't see the Yulong River, the view was still lovely. The buffet breakfast offered a good variety too. A special shout-out to the front desk receptionist, a slender sister, who was smiling throughout our stay, making us feel incredibly welcome. The travel photography service was also great, and they even gave a gift to our child when we checked out. We'll definitely be back!

GGuest UserStaying at Lijiang Poyin, the view is definitely the highlight. It's right by the Two Rivers and Four Lakes, directly facing the Sun and Moon Pagodas. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer a panoramic view of the lake and mountains – beautiful green waters and hills during the day, and at night, the pagoda lights reflecting on the lake create an incredible atmosphere. The New Chinese-style room is clean and well-equipped. The rooftop restaurant offers a superb view, and it's within walking distance to Elephant Trunk Hill and the pedestrian street. Overall, it's nestled by the mountains and water, making it the top choice for scenic accommodation when visiting Guilin. The service was also excellent; when I had a fever and felt cold, the front desk thoughtfully brought me extra blankets and a heater.

Iiveta_riga🏩 FANTASTIC PREMIUM hotel with outstanding service and a perfect location — close to West Street and the Impression Liu Sanjie show, yet peaceful and surrounded by mountains.
An absolutely stunning view of the mountains. 🗻🗻🗻
100% Special thanks to our housekeeper, Xiao-Lu, for her kindness and help with everything, especially arranging great tickets for the show.
We also truly appreciated the room upgrade — the rooftop jacuzzi room was incredible.
Delicious breakfasts and dinners, excellent coffee, cozy atmosphere, and convenient motorbike rental nearby. We didn’t want to leave and would definitely stay again!

GGuest UserSandalwood for sleeping: Very comfortable. There are some complimentary activities, like practicing Baduanjin (Eight-Duan Brocade) with a teacher in the morning, and a 20-minute couple's Five-Element tea therapy session. The facilities, cleanliness, and environment are all excellent. In the evening, the Yao ethnic medicinal liquid packets (for herbal baths) are great for both foot soaks and full baths. The scenery here is beautiful, and the lotus pond is particularly lovely. Staying at this guesthouse truly relaxes both body and mind.
