Romantic Hotels in Guangxi, China

During the May Day holiday, as prices were soaring, I opted against hotels directly within the Ten-Mile Gallery or Yulong River scenic area. Since we were driving, the location wasn't too far from the attractions, just about a 10-15 minute drive. Aside from the immediate surroundings of the B&B not being ideal, everything inside – the hotel environment, room, service, and breakfast – was quite satisfying. There are several adorable cats; you can ask the front desk for the key to the glass room to pet them. They're all very docile, though there is a bit of a cat smell. It was quite heartwarming to see them running around in the garden in the morning after they were let out.

The location is superb. Downstairs is a famous luo shi fen which the queue start from 5pm onwards although they open at 6pm. We didn’t manage to try it as they still having long queue at around 10pm. Will try it the next time we come. Receptionist is helpful to help order food delivery as we do not have access to the Mei Tuan apps. Will stay here again in future.

A four-star hotel in Chongzuo City. The room is a smart home, and the electronic butler Xiaodu is very good at acting cute. There is a balcony in the room, which is really a villa. Breakfast is in the Chinese restaurant hall. I left early and couldn't have breakfast. The restaurant staff also gave me a glass of milk, which was good.

Don't be misled by the word ”classic.” The Sheraton Guilin is far from being a mediocre hotel resting on its laurels. Instead, it's a powerhouse that crushes many trendy new establishments with its solid strengths. Opened in 1988 and renovated in 2021, this classic five-star hotel's core advantage has never been cheap gimmicks, but rather perfecting ”location, service, and quality” to the extreme. The location is arguably the best in Guilin, nestled against the Li River to the east and Elephant Trunk Hill to the south. It's a 5-minute walk to the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area and a 10-minute walk to East-West Alley. You don't need to wake up early to rush; you can simply relax in your room and watch the morning mist over the Li River and the silhouette of Elephant Trunk Hill. This kind of prime scenic view is something even trendy new hotels struggle to replicate, no matter how much money they throw at it. After the renovation, the rooms exude quality. There's no flamboyant decor, yet comfort is maximized: the bedding offers excellent support, so you won't get tired even after sitting for a long time; the bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, and the water pressure is stable; river-view rooms offer unobstructed views, and the sunset painting the river in the evening creates an incredibly atmospheric experience. The service is even more ”subtly considerate.” There's no awkward over-enthusiasm, but rather a precise ability to meet your needs: Cody at the front desk is efficient and prompt, the concierge proactively plans unique routes, the freshly cooked Guilin rice noodles at breakfast are authentic and delicious, and the executive lounge terrace offers a hidden, quiet spot to enjoy the night view of the Li River. It never labels itself with ”influencer tags,” but after nearly 40 years of heritage, it proves that a true five-star hotel doesn't rely on marketing hype. It stands firm solely on irreplaceable experiences. Staying here in Guilin is far more worthwhile than squeezing into a trendy, hyped-up spot.

Facilities: The hotel facilities are very new, and we stayed on the 9th floor with a large balcony which was very comfortable. Hygiene: The room was clean and well-maintained. Environment: The hotel environment is nice, very quiet for a stay, and conveniently located. If you don't have a car, you can rent an electric scooter from the hotel, and they also provide better travel routes for visiting other scenic spots. Service: The front desk staff were very polite and friendly. Overall, this price is very worth it for a scenic area, and the surrounding environment is not noisy. From the balcony, you can also see a lot of the nearby area. I didn't take many photos of the hotel, but here's a view from the balcony. All in all, I would definitely stay here again next time I visit.

There are numerous beautiful and high-quality decorative items and thoughtful design details throughout the room, clearly reflecting the owner's aesthetic taste and dedication. Both the room and the bathroom are very spacious, with stable water pressure and plenty of hot water, which made for a great daily use experience. The room offers an expansive view directly overlooking Seven Star Park, providing beautiful scenery that's enjoyable both morning and evening. The butler service was also a huge plus. They didn't just provide basic reception; they proactively recommended various fun itineraries and delicious restaurants, arranging everything meticulously. They even informed us in advance about parking spots when we went out, which was incredibly reassuring. The breakfast each morning was also delicious, with a wide variety of main courses and rich accompaniments. The guesthouse also features many ceramic products, which are handmade and very stylish; they are available for purchase in the shop. We even received a complimentary cup when we left, which was a lovely gesture. Overall, from the property itself, to the views, service, and attention to detail, you can feel the immense care put into everything. I truly highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again if I have the chance!

The hotel environment is clean and sanitary, the service is thoughtful, and the facilities are complete. The room is warmly decorated, and the details are well done, such as providing mineral water. The front desk staff is warm and hospitable, giving people a feeling of being at home. The hotel's swimming pool is very suitable for taking photos and checking in, and there is also a coffee bar. Many beautiful girls come to the store to check in and take photos. The hotel also has washing machines and dryers, which are very convenient for travel. Here, you can enjoy a comfortable accommodation experience. It is a good choice for travel. There are many fun places near the hotel. Here are some recommendations: ● Silver Beach: It is about 3 minutes by bike from the hotel. It is a famous seaside tourist destination in Beihai, Guangxi. It is famous for its fine sand, clear water and beautiful sunset. ● Qiaogang Style Food Street: It is about 8 minutes by bike. There are various delicious snacks, specialty restaurants and seafood markets here. You can taste authentic Beihai cuisine. ● Qiaogang Beach: It is about 3 minutes by bike. Compared with Silver Beach, Qiaogang Beach is more peaceful and leisurely. It is a good place to relax. ● Dadunhai: about 12 minutes by bike, the beach here is relatively primitive, there are relatively few tourists, you can enjoy a more peaceful beach time. ● Haikushilan: about 8 minutes by bike, it is one of the famous attractions in Beihai, with its unique sea erosion landforms and romantic name attracting many tourists. ● Liuxia Village: about 5 minutes by bike, there are many specialty shops and literary atmosphere, suitable for taking photos and checking in. ● Waisha Island: about 3 minutes walk, there is a white T-shaped sea sightseeing pavilion on the island, it is very good for taking pictures. ● Jintan: about 10 minutes by bike, there is a super long sea plank road here, it is very beautiful to enjoy the sunset.

The location is very good, there are many places to eat and play nearby. It is also very quiet at night. The room is very clean and has a special artistic atmosphere. You can see that the layout is carefully arranged. The housekeeper is very good and enthusiastic.

I was in Liuzhou on a business trip and found the Meizhu Yuexiong Hotel on Dianping (a Chinese travel review platform)! It was a very cost-effective choice. The modern and stylish rooms were uniquely designed. The smart speaker was perfect for lazy people like me; everything in the room could be controlled by voice, without lifting a finger. The breakfast condiments were surprisingly self-service! The owner was very generous, allowing you to add lean meat yourself. The crispy pork is a must-try! Also, the coffee shop downstairs is perfect for tourists to take photos! The service at both the front desk and room service was excellent. Every staff member greeted me warmly and responded promptly to any questions. Located next to Longtan Park on the left and Wuxing Commercial Street on the right, it's also near Ma'anshan Park. The high-speed rail station is within 20 minutes. This hotel is definitely the best choice for both business and leisure travel. When traveling to Liuzhou, choose Meizhu Yuexiong Hotel!
