"Everything is good except the bed sheet, it kept slipping off after sleeping in. It's a flat sheet too small to tie down on the edge and corners. We asked the staff for help and we tried to do it ourselves but it was not fixable because the flat sheet is just too small to secure the bed coverage. The staff members are super friendly and they do try their best to help you. The spa in the hotel is also great. Overall the experience is beyond expectations. The location is also great and safe. "

GGuest UserAbsolutely fabulous weekend break set in beautiful surroundings, peaceful and we loved the wildlife. The staff were friendly and very informative and available for anything we needed. The food was lovely and everything very reasonably priced. We will definitely be booking another stay.

GGuest UserThe Norbrek Castle must have been lavish and upmarket in it's day but sadly looks sad and depressed now. However, we knew this when we booked and opted for it because of it's good points, the location is good with bus and tram stops outside, there is plenty of parking with an assured chance of finding a space if you take the car out and return, the room was as clean as it is possible to clean an old property with clean bedding and towels, the breakfast is basic but again satisfactory and the staff helpful and friendly. We did not, on this occasion use the pool or any of the entertainment facilities. All in all an ok choice for a couple of nights as somewhere simply to sleep

PP40ULWThe hotel and entrance are great, no complaints there. I’ve been a regular at another hotel within 5 miles of here, where the facilities are immaculate and the rooms are always meticulously clean. So I had high expectations.
On walking into my room (250), it was freezing. I immediately turned on the electric radiator, but was woken up at 2am by the thermostat flicking on and off repeatedly. The digital screen kept lighting up and going off it felt like there was a rave in my room. Highly annoying and not conducive to a good night’s sleep.
Before bed, I went for a shower and splashed foamy suds around as you do. After finishing, I was washing down the inside of the shower cubicle and noticed what I thought were leftover soap suds near the door handle. I went to wipe them off and I can tell you now, they were not soap suds.
Absolutely disgusting. The previous occupant clearly lacked basic hygiene, and although it shouldn’t be expected, the cleaners really need to have a keener eye for detail. This sort of thing should never be missed.

GGuest UserExcellent stay, excellent dinner, excellent spa experience and breakfast buffet that is second to none!
The Mecure really do know how to provide a great customer experience and every single staff member is courteous, polite, helpful and friendly.
The rooms are enormous and if you are lucky enough to get a courtyard one, your eyes are in for a treat.
Sue and Lucy in the spa are marvellous and even the chambermaid staff, especially Deborah worked with a smile and was helpful with directions. If you stay in a courtyard room you will understand why directions are needed. 😀. All in all I had an absolutely fantastic Mother’s Day stay!

BBS TamThe lakeside cabins offer stunning views, and there are plenty of activities, making it perfect for a family vacation. The resort has a convenience store, and the restaurant food quality is high. Even without a car, you can still enjoy a great holiday within the resort grounds.

GGuest UserHotel was spotlessly clean and staff very helpful. We upgraded to executive room that was nice but the view out the back wasn’t too great but didn’t spoil anything. We had lovely night away. Food is good the weather was amazing and the gardens are nice to sit out. Couldn’t get into the therapy rooms for massage as they were fully booked but we did only book to go to the hotel a few days prior to going. Pool areas are clean

Was a good stay but I wouldn’t say it wowed me and felt staff could’ve been more attentive. Also lack of room service, evening snacks, fridge, tv channels, alternative pillows etc.
also hotel said they didn’t receive my special requests I’ve added to the trip booking which meant the birthday we were celebrating was overlooked.

GGuest UserI took my daughter to university, and this is the hotel next door. I initially chose it just because of the location, but I was blown away. It has an old-school, vintage feel. The fireplace in the lobby even has real wood. I'm hooked. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit my daughter.
