I am travelling for Mashiko pottery festival. The location is good for taking bus there. The hotel is next to JR station and bus station. There is public bath for leisure and relaxation at night.
Perfect spot if you are planning to go mashiko pottery festival next year!
This time, I used it with my family.
The staff are very friendly and the family members are very satisfied with the response.
Perhaps because of the location, the bugs are obvious, even in the open-air bath I am worried.
In addition, I think the air conditioner in the room is a bit weak.
All meals are in private rooms, so I feel relieved at this time!
Especially the breakfast is delicious 🍚
I stayed for two nights, mainly for the baths and breakfast. My goal was to relax and unwind.
The bath was smaller than I expected, and the water was lukewarm, which was a bit disappointing. Maybe it was because I had high expectations.
As for breakfast, it was a 1. The white rice in particular didn't seem to be cooked properly, so it wasn't tasty. That might have been a fatal flaw. Next to it were about 20 different bottles of soy sauce, which shows attention to detail, but it felt like they missed a key factor.
The room had a Daikin air conditioner, so it felt just like home. It was well-cleaned, and while they tend to do light cleaning for guests staying multiple nights, I was grateful for the thorough cleaning.
The area is a bit far to walk to, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby. On the first day, I walked to Sano Ramen, and on the second day, I walked over 10 minutes across the street to Tairiku Shokudo for yakiniku.
Overall, it was a relaxing two-day trip that I enjoyed.
Overall, we had a pleasant stay. The onsen was especially nice and very relaxing. Our whole family stayed over the New Year holiday, and we enjoyed the dinner buffet with its wide variety of options. Breakfast was decent as well.
The only downside was that the hotel corridors were quite cold during the winter season, and we also experienced a minor issue with the room’s air conditioning, which made the room cold for a while.
Despite this, we still had a nice overall experience.
first of I would like to thanks always trip.com for very nice & convinient bookings everytime,we stay new sakura hotel, because the interior of the hotel is mostly sakura theme, the carpet, the gorgeous chandelier, the wall design, etc.or cherry blossom in Japan,& so very affordable prize,we spend only 18,000 yen for 2 adults, with 2 breakfast & 2 dinner.Very near from kinugawa onsen station, only 3 hrs.from Tokyo. We amazed the room,so very big for the two of us,for very cheap prize, can accomodate even 10 person, the buffet breakfast & dinner also is so good but the most I want to share is the drink all you can alcohol beverages for 1 hour, like beer, japanese wine, sours, all kinds of softhdrinks,I enjoyed for self service alcohol drink all you can!the hotspring also is very good but the cons is take care in the outdoor spring because of the concrete stairs, especially for the elderly when slippery, there's
& a little bit far from our room, the young staff also at the counter is nice & most of them are young japanese lady,so very entertaining,so many free amusement like billiard, majong, etc.with a nice sorrounding sightseeng site.& last after check out they give 2000 yen discount coupon for the next visit,Thanks God & trip.com for a nice autumn tour moment in kinugawa onsen Tochigi Perfecture Japan
This was my first time staying at a Hoshino Hotel in the Kai series, and I was very satisfied. The ”Kai” hotel in Nikko, especially the cable car, is definitely worth the experience. The hotel is very close to the station, seemingly nestled in the mountains, but it's actually just a short walk from the hot spring town. It's bustling yet secluded.
The decor is a distinctly Japanese style, combining minimalism with a wabi-sabi vibe. I personally love it. Those who enjoy this series will appreciate it, but those who prefer extravagant and elaborate décor wouldn't recommend it; they'll be disappointed.
The hotel also offers free coffee and tea, as well as unlimited juice and ice cream, so children will have more fun than adults. The hot springs are incredibly beautiful. During cherry blossom season, the hot springs are right outside, and during autumn foliage season, the mountain courtyard is filled with vibrant colors.
Overall, the hotel isn't large, resembling a small resort, but it's packed with details, views, and activities. There are free evening performances, the kaiseki dinner is exquisite, and the Japanese breakfast is also very delicious. A hotel worth experiencing: upscale yet not intimidating, the service is very pleasant.
In addition, there are a lot of fun theme parks and attractions nearby in just five minutes’ drive. This is also the reason for the recommendation.
Located at the innermost part of Lake Chuzenji, this hotel boasts first-class scenery and environment. It features indoor and outdoor hot springs, and offers complimentary coffee and tea from afternoon to evening. Guests can enjoy tranquility while gazing at the lake. The breakfast environment and food are excellent, and a shuttle bus is available to Nikko Station.
1 Night 2 It was a short solo trip for a day, but the room was large and the hot water was reasonably good, so it was a very satisfying hot spring hotel. Above all, I am very grateful to put it in the hot spring at any time except for some time zones.
Playing ball to live, I didn't expect to be very pleasant, the dining is great, the room is good, the hot spring is very comfortable, the service is great. A bit far from the high-speed exit, but it does not affect, suitable for self-driving
Our family is very satisfied with this itinerary. We like this hotel very much. There is a music performance in the evening. The staff is very polite and the waiter can communicate with us in Cantonese. It is a very personal service.

玩玩转星球-KevinThe most important buffet dinner during the stay was served very late, and the dishes were often empty, which is very rare in Japan.
Because it was less than 700 yuan and included two meals, although the hotel had many flaws, it was understandable, but the faucet in the room seemed to be broken, and the water flow was not smooth, which should be replaced.
Overall, this room was acceptable.

YyuanyuanI liked a warm hotel very much, the room was super super big, and after the hotel communicated, I could take the decisive choice of the baby, booked the breakfast and dinner, and they were very rich, the seats were cooked and timed. There are very few warm-hearted public soups, and children like them very much. I will think about this next time I come to Nikko. On the first floor, you can buy special products, buy a lot, give a discount, the husband who is responsible for the cashier, the mother-in-law who served the dishes are super good.

GGuest User4.5 stars! Property is older but extremely well maintained. The corner western/Japanese rooms are spacious with two western beds and tatami area, single japanese bath and shower area and separate toilet area, mini fridge, tv, sitting area overlooking the river and table with four chairs as well as a massage chair! Onsen area has both indoor and outdoor areas separate for men and women and a cold plunge as well as multiple hot baths. Minus half a star for low staffing in the store/cafe areas (often no staff member to be found when kakigori desired), no in house lunch option and overly fatty meat on the 3rd night dinner (breakfast and dinner were LARGE and BEAUTIFUL but perhaps heavy on the yuba. Also, shuttle to the train station is only at 10 and 11am and getting cabs is difficult. However, would overwhelmingly recommend Nikko Senhime Monogatari!

RRandom随机Wow! This place was fantastic! The staff are all courteous and professional. The hotel rooms are really clean, and the atmosphere is so relaxing and tranquil. I really enjoyed the nature vibes, and the river view by the window is perfect! The sound of the water flow and birds chirping made it to be a great night's sleep. The morning scenery is even better. I have no complaints. It was a great place to stop and rest and admire your surroundings. Take advantage of the swimming pool and the hot springs. (FYI: No tattoos allowed in case you have any, so you won't be alarmed when you see the sign.) Otherwise, everything was great about my stay! ☺️
LLindaxiaolingziDuring the recent three-day autumn foliage season, rooms in Nikko were extremely difficult to book, especially balcony rooms with views of Nantaiyama and Chuzenji Lake. This time, I checked in at noon and requested an upgrade to a lake view room, and luckily, one became available on the 5th floor, the top floor. The balcony of the room offered a breathtaking lake view! Although the price was high, it was truly amazing!
Environment: Prime location near Chuzenji Lake, with its own dedicated station. The pier, lakeside, and Kegon Falls are all within walking distance.
Service: Top-notch. From check-in to introductions, turndown service, and breakfast the next day, the staff were impeccably at home! They now offer twice-daily shuttle service from Nikko Station. Truly fantastic!
Facilities: Complete with all amenities, including a private onsen (hot spring), and state-of-the-art bathing and skincare facilities.
Cleanliness: Spotless, and the public areas are impeccably beautiful.
Staying here is like living inside an oil painting, except for the price. But this is just one example! The purpose of making money is to achieve Ritz-Carlton freedom.
KKongkongwukongkongAn old hot spring hotel! Breakfast and dinner are really cost-effective! The food is delicious, from fish to small pots! Appetizer strawberry wine, hot tea and dessert after dinner! The hot spring is also quite good. We are the family of four adults with children. It is a very satisfying stay experience! I have lived in a lot of expensive places before, but it feels similar. Cost-effective leverage, praise!
