I had such a great experience staying at Hue Hotels and Resorts El Nido. The location is super convenient, it’s close to everything! Restaurants, shops, and the starting points for island-hopping tours are all just a short walk or tricycle ride away, which made getting around really easy.
The best part for me was the rooftop. The view from up there is stunning — you can see the dramatic limestone cliffs and surrounding greenery. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day of island tours or to catch the sunset with a drink in hand.
The hotel itself is modern and stylish, but still feels relaxed and welcoming. The staff were friendly and always happy to help, which made the stay even better.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, accessible place to stay in El Nido with amazing views and a great location, Hue is a solid choice. I’d definitely come back.
Honestly, we had the best time at Funny Lion Resort! From the start, everything felt top-notch. The staff were super friendly and accommodating, always ready to help and just really made us feel welcome.
There were so many complimentary perks too, which was such a nice surprise. It felt like they really went above and beyond to make the stay special.
What I loved the most is that the resort pretty much has everything you need—you seriously don’t have to leave. There are activities, great restaurants, a cozy coffee bar, and more all right there. We didn’t even feel the need to go out and explore because everything we wanted was already in the resort.
The whole place has a super relaxing vibe, perfect for just chilling and enjoying the moment. It was such a good escape from the usual busy life.
Would 100% go back—and probably will, again and again. Can’t recommend it enough!
This resort is 10 minutes away from the airport and is well decorated and clean, it has got two pools and a great view of the waters, The restaurant on site is good and very reasonable, The buffet breakfast was also good on the negative part was that for some reason I've been having issues with the hot water but strangely I would get hot water after the housekeeping would come to resolve the problem, I would you recommend this resort.
This hotel is in an excellent location, right next to the airport, which makes it incredibly convenient for travelers. They offer a free shuttle to the airport, which was very helpful. The breakfast was also decent, with enough variety to start the day well.
Although my check-in experience wasn’t perfect, the staff handled it as best they could. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived, and since the hotel was fully booked, I didn’t get the twin room I had reserved. However, they were quick to accommodate my family by adding an extra bed for the kids, which made the situation more manageable.
Overall, the location, amenities, and helpful staff make this hotel a solid choice for airport travelers. With a little improvement in managing bookings, it would be even better.
Hotel is surprisingly great for its price! With just some few bucks to add vs the usual lodge/backpacker rates, you will get far superior amenities, room size and service as a whole. The hotel owner is the same with Zuri Resort by the bay, and the adjacent Westown Lagoon.
Staffs are friendly and accommodating. Hotel facade, pool and bar and restaraunt are also great. They got three or four pools. The rooms are okay, not as pleasant as the hotel facade but still are in good condition and still comfortable.
The only downside would be the location, its 5-6km away from the town proper - will take around 10mins via tuktuk/tricyle. Bfast buffet is just okay. Not a lot of choices but still good.
Overall, still a good experience for the price.
Sunlight is one of the top option when we are looking for affordable and best hotel to stay in puerto princesa. The room is big and confi that you can relax.
The experience over all was amazing. We truly enjoyed our time in this hotel. The staff were very accommodating (they did need to switch us rooms though cause the first one had an AC with a bad smell) but without hassle they changed us and everything was fine. I think if the ac doesn’t run for a while they can do that. The pool was absolutely great, we spent most days in the pool at least once. I did wish it had a bit of shaded area over the pool itself but the water temperature was just right and so relaxing. The breakfast had a lot of choices and was very delicious. We had some lunches and dinners there too which were all great as well. There is a very cool 360 roof bar with a happy hour, though it was disappointing that the front desk info said it included cocktails and beer for happy hour but we were told beer only for happy hour prices when we went up there. The location and the views are just stunning from wherever you look and it’s truly peaceful. It is a bit far away so you would want a motorbike or car rental, which we did have so it wasn’t a problem for us. It was one of the most relaxing stays we had in the Philippines and we would definitely go back! :)
Great service . They are always friendly and helpful.
Food is best I had in years if I compare another hotels .
And bug bonus is that the kit hen also make food on demand . So if not on menu they do on request and it is worth to pay some extra money.
Only downside is that trip.xom do not mention that beside the 30 peso terminal fee . And then on tge another side you need to pay 120 peso tourist tax . And as last 300 peso each person to go to the hotel.
But for sure I will go back there
From the moment we began our journey with the hotel’s private transfer service, everything was exceptional. The staff’s friendliness is truly top-notch—they made us feel welcome and cared for every step of the way. Their private port is a total game-changer: no long lines, no hassle, and a smooth, stress-free process from pick-up to drop-off. The team at the port was incredibly warm and accommodating, and the fresh welcome drinks were a delightful treat you must try! The boat ride itself was seamless, and having priority access meant we bypassed travel taxes and lines entirely—highly recommend this service!
Upon arrival at the hotel, we were greeted with big smiles and warm hearts. The welcome surprise waiting in our room was such a thoughtful touch—it made us feel instantly special.
As for the amenities, it’s clear they’re working on upgrades, and we’re excited to see what’s to come. We had a blast playing table tennis, though the balls could use a refresh. One small wish—we’d love for the pool hours to extend a little later!
Now, a special shoutout to the dream team: Mund, Gie, Gino, Noel and Sandy—our private tour guides who went above and beyond in every way. They made us feel like royalty! Always attentive, always caring, and full of heart. I even had a minor accident and bruised my leg, and their first-aid response was immediate and professional.
Without a doubt, we highly recommend booking a private tour with them. It’s not just a tour—it’s a memorable experience led by the kindest, most amazing people. Can’t wait to return!
P.s their private pier are the best for sunset
A little slice of luxury. Amazing clean rooms and pool. We didn’t have hot water but it was sorted quickly! Scooter hire is expensive here (compared with outside) but necessary to get around. The hotel has a transfer bus but times are limited to morning and evening. Breakfast was great. Dinner was good (expensive compared with outside as understand in hotel). If you order the pork, it’s like a starter portion so bear in mind.

GGuest UserWe had an amazing and truly relaxing stay at Astoria. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the hotel's amenities are truly beyond our expectations. The delicious breakfast buffet was a highlight of our mornings. We highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful and memorable experience
GGuest UserMantiloc resort is a paradise. If you are looking for a relaxing time in a unique spot this place is for you. The staff are so kind and helpful, they make it an amazing stay. The half day boat trip is also well worth it and one of the best parts of our trip.
The menu could do with being expanded, with more vegetarian and vegan options. Also a barista coffee option would make it perfect., though a nespresso machine was a available upon request

EEissa ShamiyehCitystate Asturias Hotel in Palawan is truly a gem. From the moment you step into the hotel, you are greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that sets the tone for your stay. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest feels welcomed and taken care of, making the service truly unique and memorable.
The hotel itself is beautifully designed, with spacious and comfortable rooms that provide a perfect retreat after a day of exploring Palawan. The amenities are top-notch, including a refreshing pool, a well-equipped fitness center, and a relaxing spa. One of the highlights of staying at Citystate Asturias is the breakfast. I highly recommend opting for the breakfast included package. The buffet offers a wide variety of delicious options, from local Filipino dishes to international favorites, ensuring a great start to your day.
For foreigners, this hotel is an excellent choice. The staff is proficient in English and always ready to assist with any needs or questions. The location is also convenient, providing easy access to popular tourist spots and transportation options.
Overall, Citystate Asturias Hotel Palawan offers an amazing experience with its outstanding service, comfortable accommodations, and excellent amenities. Whether you are visiting for leisure or business, this hotel is highly recommended for a memorable stay in Palawan.
MMarshieGot it! Here’s your revised review, keeping the original friendly tone while clarifying the tour offerings and distance to attractions like Honda Bay and the Underground River:

**A Perfect Tropical Escape – Carpe Diem Villas Exceeded Expectations!**
From the moment we arrived at Carpe Diem Villas, we were treated like VIPs! The staff welcomed us with refreshing drinks and big smiles, instantly setting the tone for a relaxing and memorable stay. The check-in process was smooth, and we immediately felt at home in this beautiful, tranquil retreat.
Our villa was spacious, impeccably clean, and beautifully designed—combining modern comforts with a cozy tropical vibe. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved having a private balcony where we could unwind with a cup of coffee in the mornings or a glass of wine in the evenings. The pool area was another highlight—serene, well-maintained, and perfect for lounging under the Palawan sun.
While the villa is located in Puerto Princesa city (not near far-flung attractions like the Underground River or Honda Bay), the hotel made exploring easy by offering convenient tours to these must-see spots - from city tours to island-hopping adventures, ensuring that we can experience the best of Palawan without the stress of planning. Their recommendations for local restaurants and hidden gems were also spot-on!
What truly stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond—always attentive, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. Their warmth and professionalism made our stay feel extra special.
If you’re looking for a peaceful, well-appointed retreat with outstanding service and easy access to tours (even to faraway attractions!), Carpe Diem Villas is the perfect choice.

AanjmonsantoWe recently stayed at this resort hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the amenities—from the pool to the common areas—were impressive and well-maintained.
However, we were quite disappointed to return to our room after housekeeping had been in, only to find the door left open. This raised serious concerns about security and left us feeling uneasy. Thankfully, nothing was missing, but it’s something management should seriously look into.
Also, while the breakfast buffet was decent, the variety was limited. For a resort of this caliber, we expected more options to choose from.
In summary, it’s a nice place with great staff and facilities, but there’s definitely room for improvement when it comes to security and food offerings.
TToddSpectacular, beautiful resort! Sorry I didn't have a date since this is truly a couples place. But I did enjoy the solitude, perfect beach and included snorkeling, and double bed hut right on the sand with wifi! Food is better than average for Philippines. Not sure how they even get the food here or how they could have built such a nice place on a deserted island (20 min boat ride from Basuanga airport after short van xfer). Beware there are a few thousand bats if you're in the main hotel and at dusk they kinda go nuts flying around...
XXiaLinCharleneWe have mixed feelings about our time at this hotel. The location is excellent with a beautiful swimming beach on your door step and breathtaking sunset views. It is worth informing the hotel before your arrival to arrange assistance especially if you have heavy luggage, as the hotel does not clearly indicate how to be accessed from the road and thus most guests access the hotel form the beach. This could mean a long walk along the sand. For backpackers this won't be a problem, but families or those who don't travel light will find this to be an inconvenience. We booked a sea view room with a double bed. We were given twin beds as no double beds were available, despite our booking being made 5 months in advance. They offered to move us into the correct room after two nights but informed us that there won't be any wifi available in the new room so we ended up staying in our original room. These are small problems, but it is worth noting as the staff did not handle the situation with the professionalism we are used to receiving from other hotels. The rooms are also only cleaned every second day. The breakfast was ice cold everyday and the worst out of all the hotel breakfasts we had during our stay in the Philippines. Still, the location of this hotel is ideal for spending days on the beach and the zip line is practically above the hotel so it could be worth staying here and having meals at one of the hotels next door. We can confidently say that we ate the best pizza next door.
