Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium

8.2
4.8/5
1.6k reviews
Rajadamnern Muay Thai Stadium is a highly prestigious professional Muay Thai venue in Bangkok, regarded alongside Lumpinee Stadium as one of Thailand's two main modern Muay Thai arenas. The stadium began construction in 1941 but was halted due to material shortages during World War II, resuming after the war and hosting its first match only by the end of 1945. Initially an open-air venue without a roof, it was fitted with a concrete roof in 1951 and has undergone multiple renovations and upgrades since. Today, it stands as a modern enclosed stadium, embodying a condensed history of Thailand's professional Muay Thai. The gym hosts frequent matches year-round. On fight days, professional fighters from across Thailand compete here for the gym's own rankings and championship titles. Unlike performance-oriented bouts for travelers, these are real fights that count toward professional records: fighters wear mongkon headbands and perform ritual dances to traditional music before the match—the elaborate wai khru ceremony is worth arriving early to witness. During fights, every sweep kick and knee strike lands with full force in high-intensity clashes, so be mentally prepared. Each seating area offers a distinct experience—ringside seats provide close-up action, while the upper stands are packed with local veteran fans who roar with every powerful hit, creating waves of cheers that let you experience Muay Thai in its rawest form.Bangkok · 4.1 km from downtown

"Discover a millennium of Siam in a day at the ancient city." Heritage Site Bestowed by Thai King, with the opening ceremony attended by Thailand's King Rama IX and Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom. Featuring iconic landmarks, film studios, sacred Buddhist sites, historical monuments, cultural heritages, and floating markets. A cultural treasure carved over half a century with billions in investment, Thailand's never-ending wonder You'll encounter magnificent palaces and stunning temples, just as you'd expect to see in Thailand. △The Great Fish God, surrounded by fish deities, features the palace of Lord Indra at its center. The palace's interior walls are adorned with exquisite peacock sculptures and hand-painted murals, creating an immersive experience. △Luohan Hall, the water temple, ingeniously blends Thai, Burmese, and Chinese architectural styles, enshrining numerous arhat statues and Maitreya Buddha, offering a unique visual experience. △The Grand Palace of Ayutthaya, a 1:1 replica of the main palace from the Ayutthaya Kingdom, took 10 years to complete. Its magnificent golden splendor is truly awe-inspiring. △The floating market showcases the unique architecture of urban communities around the rivers in Thailand's central basin. People typically build stilt houses along the riverbanks and travel between locations by rowing boats. A designated river section often serves as the central marketplace for trading goods.Samut Prakan · 23.6 km from Bangkok

SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World

7.9
4.5/5
8.3k reviews
SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World brings a large aquarium into the two basement floors of Siam Paragon mall in downtown Bangkok, making it a highly popular family-friendly indoor attraction. Over a dozen themed exhibition areas guide visitors from tropical rainforests to the deep sea, with hundreds of marine species inhabiting the space, including large sharks measuring nearly 4 m in length. The underwater tunnel is the highlight of the aquarium, offering a 270-degree curved view where sharks, rays and schools of fish glide slowly overhead and alongside visitors. The shark walkway is a glass floor suspended above the shark tank, allowing guests to look down and see sharks swimming beneath their feet. The penguin snow park is home to a group of gentoo penguins, and through the underwater viewing window, visitors can watch them "fly" through the water, while African penguins can also be spotted in another rocky coastal area. The Asian small-clawed otters in the tropical rainforest zone are lively and playful, often drawing crowds. The jellyfish exhibit becomes particularly dreamy under changing lights, while the seahorse kingdom and green sea turtle zone invite a slower pace for closer observation. The coral reef area features schools of clownfish darting about, and the rock pool, where visitors can touch intertidal creatures like starfish, is especially popular with children. The aquarium offers scheduled feeding guides for penguins, otters, sharks and rays daily. We recommend checking the day's time slots upon arrival to plan your visit accordingly. The coral reef zone offers an optional glass-bottom boat experience - watch keepers hand-feed fish and sharks glide beneath the boat for a unique perspective. Fully air-conditioned indoors, it's ideal in any weather. A two-hour visit allows comfortable exploration, though families with children may want to allocate more time. △ Here you can observe tropical rainforest creatures such as Asian small-clawed otters, hook ants, and green crested lizards. △ Come and see our adorable Papuan penguinsBangkok · 2.3 km from downtown

Chao Phraya River

7.9
4.5/5
5.4k reviews
The Chao Phraya River is the customary name used by the Chinese community for the river known in Thai as "Chao Phraya." The term "Chao Phraya" originates from Thai, literally meaning "mother of waters," while its Thai name is often translated as "river of kings," both reflecting the river's significance in Thailand. It originates in the northern mountains of Thailand, flows south through the central plains, passes the ancient capital of Ayutthaya, and runs through the heart of Bangkok before emptying into the Gulf of Thailand. Including its upstream tributaries, it stretches over 1,000 km. Bangkok grew alongside this river, once crisscrossed by waterways and dubbed the "Venice of the East." Even today, the Chao Phraya River remains a vital waterway for local transportation and daily life. Taking a cruise is a classic way to explore the river. By day, the water bustles with public ferries, cargo boats, and crossings, resembling a watery highway for Bangkok residents, while traditional floating markets have mostly relocated to tributaries. Along the river, historic landmarks like the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun glide past, juxtaposed with modern malls like ICONSIAM across the water. A short ferry ride from Tha Tian Pier leads to Wat Arun on the opposite bank. At night, the river transforms as lights illuminate both shores, with Wat Arun's porcelain-clad spires shimmering softly. Sightseeing and dinner cruises set sail, offering a distinctly different atmosphere from the land-based experience. If timing allows, an evening cruise lets you witness both the sunset and the city lights, capturing two faces of the river in one trip. △Sparkling Chao Phraya River △Enchanting night view at Chao Phraya RiverBangkok · 4.8 km from downtown

Jurassic World: The Experience

7.5
4.5/5
1.4k reviews
Jurassic World: The Experience is an immersive venue themed around the Jurassic World film series, located within the Asiatique riverside night market complex along the Chao Phraya River. Based on the cinematic universe created by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, travelers are guided to "board" Isla Nublar, traversing through a venue spanning thousands of square meters that recreates jungle and research station scenes from the films. Along the way, they are surrounded by life-size animatronic dinosaurs, with the low growls of a massive T. rex and the towering silhouette of a Brachiosaurus creating an up-close, on-site spectacle. The trip unfolds layer by layer with the storyline—at the field research station, travelers must mimic calls to help locate the lost stegosaurus; when the T. rex's roar suddenly echoes, everyone follows the group in a jog to take shelter in the lab, blending thrills with fun. The entire experience takes place indoors, lasting about one hour, with on-site guides primarily in English and Thai, ensuring both family-friendly enjoyment and delight for dinosaur enthusiasts. A souvenir shop is set up at the exit, and the park also features a "Fossils & Flames" themed restaurant inspired by the film, extending the prehistoric adventure to the dining table—perfect for pairing with a riverside night market trip on the same day.Bangkok · 3.4 km from downtown

Our car driver Giftza was super helpful. She was very nice and polite. I strongly recommend this tour specially if you have kids. My kid enjoys the fullest. Though we hire the car for 8 hours but we complete our tour in 7 hour as our kid and us get tired. I strongly recommend this driver.

Overall, it was pretty good, the food was decent, and my parents were quite satisfied. The Unique isn't very big, but you can see the luxury of other larger ships while sitting on it. I think the price-performance ratio is quite good.

The Chao Phraya River Cruise was a really nice experience. Even though it was quite busy and full of people, it was totally worth the trip. The prices are super cheap for what you get. It’s definitely a must-try activity when visiting!

I had a wonderful time visiting Jurassic World Bangkok with my nephew! It was a fun and memorable experience, and I’m glad we got to spend some quality time together exploring the attractions. The overall experience was enjoyable, and it was exciting to see everything up close. The only downside was that some parts of the tour felt a little rushed. I understand that it can get crowded, and the staff need to keep things moving, but I wish we’d had a bit more time to take everything in and enjoy each area at our own pace without feeling hurried.Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m happy we got to share these moments together. I just hope there will be a little more time for visitors to explore and appreciate the details in each section in the future!
