The day trip was wonderful. From the agent to the driver, service was very good. Just 2 friends on this trip and we got a very comfortable 5 seater MPV. Had to pay extra for hotel pickup but worth it since we could leave directly and get dropped off at our hotel. Driver, Mr Shi, got us safely to and back for the day trip. He gave us lots of information along the way, history and facts about the Nanjing Tulou area. We took the 2 Tulou visit of Tianloukeng and Hekeng as reviewers recommended. Good to see both as they give a different experience Hekeng is more authentic whorl Tianloukeng was larger but more touristy All Entry tickets are also included in the price It was a bit pricy since it’s only 2 of us, but overall I’m happy we went. Recommend this travel agency for this east booking and communications.

Thanks to the hotel pickup, we were able to board safely with my child. Although the commentary was in Chinese, the guide did an excellent job explaining it in Korean, making it easy to understand. Perhaps because the guide was from Xiamen, they provided great explanations of the various places along the way to the Tulou. They also bought us each a passion fruit, saying it tastes best in Xiamen at this time of year, allowing us to get a quick vitamin boost and enjoy the tour.

Tuo Luo Keng was one of the highlights of my Fujian trip. The view from above — the famous “Four Dishes and One Soup” — was breathtaking, and walking inside the tulou gave me a glimpse of real Hakka life: wooden balconies, families drying produce, and tea stalls. What made the trip extra special was our guide, Kathy. She explained the history in clear English, made everything easy to understand, and even brought us to a local pearl store. Unlike touristy shops, this place felt authentic with fair prices and friendly sellers. It turned the visit into more than sightseeing — it felt like a cultural exchange. 💡 Tip: Ask for Kathy if you want an English-speaking guide who goes beyond the usual tour. She made our day smooth, fun, and memorable.
