Train types available
- Frecce series: Includes Frecciarossa (red arrow), Frecciargento (silver arrow), Frecciabianca (white arrow).
- Frecce + Freccialink: A combined service of high-speed trains and buses.
- Intercity (IC) / Intercity Night (ICN): Intercity trains and overnight sleeper trains.
- EuroCity (EC) Italy-Switzerland: Round-trip international trains between Italy and Switzerland (operating within Italy only)
Train types not available
- Regional (R) / Fast regional (RV): Regional trains.
- EuroNight (EN): Some European night trains (not included in Trenitalia Pass)
- Italo: Private high-speed rail company
Suitable for
- For itineraries of 5+ consecutive days, take the high-speed rail at least 3 times

Pass validity
1. Pass activation period: Valid for 11 months from booking date.
2. Pass validity: The pass validity period is calculated consecutively from the first train itinerary (this date will also serve as the start date of your pass validity. Please note that once confirmed, the above info cannot be changed). Depending on your selected package duration, it is valid for 7, 15, or 30 days, during which you can choose to use it 3, 4, 7, or 10 times (depending on your selected package). Each booking counts as one itinerary, except for Frecce+Freccialink, which is considered a single itinerary. Based on the type of pass you purchase, you can freely change the frequency of issued tickets. If you're quick enough, you can even book an itinerary just 10 mins before departure!
Seat class
1. Second class seat Easy: Applicable to standard second class cabins and sleeper cabins.
Valid for Frecce (standard/second class), Frecce + Freccialink, intercity trains (second class), intercity night trains (second class and sleeper), and round-trip Eurocity trains between Italy and Switzerland (second class).
2. First class seat Comfort: Applicable to any class of cabin (including standard cabins, premium cabins and business cabins, first and second class cabins, sleeper cabins)
Valid for Frecce trains operated by Trenitalia (standard class, premium class, and business class/first/second class), Frecce+ trains, Freccialink trains, intercity trains (first/second class), intercity night trains (seats, T2/double rooms or T3 sleeper cars, and sleeper cars), and round-trip Eurocity trains between Italy and Switzerland (first/second class).
Change and cancellation policy
If the pass is completely unactivated, you can apply for an 80% refund through manual request. Once the seat is reserved (i.e., the start date of the validity period is selected), the ticket becomes non-refundable.
Seat reservation
Passengers must book seats for the following trains, and seat reservations are free: Frecce, Frecce + Freccialink, intercity trains, intercity night trains, and round-trip Eurocity trains between Italy and Switzerland (domestic routes in Italy).

Activation process
1. Tap
After clicking the link, you will be redirected to the search page. Go to the "Book" option, then click "Pass number" and enter the 10-digit PNR code from your confirmation email (this code can also be found on your booking confirmation page), followed by the pass holder's last name and first and middle names. Finally, click the search button to proceed with your action.
2. On the next page, please verify passenger info and enter your departure station, destination and first travel date, which will also serve as the starting date for your pass validity. Please note that once confirmed, the above info cannot be changed.

3. On the next page, you will see all optional travel options. Select the train you wish to take, then tap the "Confirm" button to proceed.

4. On the next page, you can view the booking details. Before confirming, select the "Choose seats" option to pick your seat, then click confirm

5. On the next page, you can see the seat map, select your preferred seat and confirm your choice.

6. On the next page, review the passenger info again, tap to agree to the carrier's terms and tap the confirm button.

7. On the following page, you will see a summary of your booking confirmation and the option to download the PDF file.

Seat reservation and change terms
You can change your seat booking before the planned departure time. Multiple changes are allowed within the pass validity period (based on the first travel date). Please note that once the pass activation date is selected, it cannot be changed. All changes—whether switching to another train or changing seats on the same train—must be made within the pass validity period.
Can I postpone my travel date?
Yes, you can postpone your itinerary to a later date, but the new travel date must be within the validity period of your pass.
Please note that changing the first travel date will not extend or alter the pass validity period. The validity period remains based on the originally selected activation date.
