Since I was on a tour with Chinese people, communication was difficult. The guide spoke so fast that I could barely understand anything. We had to eat at designated restaurants, and the prices were on the expensive side. Since you have to take the train directly from Shanghai, I recommend going independently rather than on a tour. Perhaps because I had high expectations for Suzhou, it wasn't much different from Suzhou, and I think Suzhou was better.

A wonderful excursion! Very interesting. I'd especially like to mention our guide, Neo Song. The day before the excursion, he contacted us via WeChat and WhatsApp to buy train tickets and provided full details of the meeting point. He was waiting for us in the morning and then accompanied us throughout the entire trip. He was very pleasant to talk to, professional, tactful, competent, responsive, and spoke excellent English. He provided all the information, answered all our questions, and took photos. We traveled between the excursion sites in comfortable cars that he ordered. The boat excursion was wonderful, including Tiger Hill and the Official's Garden. I ordered delicious food and drinks at the cafe. Everything was clear and comfortable, and we felt very at ease with him. He also accompanied us on the return trip to Shanghai. A huge thank you, Neo Song, for your professionalism, competence, responsiveness, and attentiveness. We had an unforgettable experience with you! Your tour organization and execution are top-notch.
