We debated choosing one of the similar trips, but ultimately chose this one – we have no regrets, it was fantastic! Ginny, our guide 😉, did a fantastic job. She was incredibly friendly, incredibly engaging, and shared some great facts – not only about the Harry Potter world, but also about life on campus. Our Guide, Andrew Parker, was most entertaining with his facts and anecdotes. It seemed a privilege to walk around the grounds of various colleges and get a feel for the college experience. It was helpful to identify the institutions of the University and City.

To be honest, this tour was a bit expensive, but since I couldn't get tickets to the Harry Potter factory, I had to join a group. Meeting at 7 am was agonizing; I ended up sleeping on the bus. The English-speaking tour guide in Oxford was an older woman, but she was super fun. The itinerary was relatively simple: 1.5 hours walking around the colleges without going inside anything, followed by an hour of free shopping. The tour guide mainly provided explanations on the bus, and once at the factory, it was mostly self-sufficiency. It's basically just the cost of the transportation and entrance fees. If you can get tickets yourself, you don't need to join a group. The only advantage was that it allowed my child to practice their English listening skills.
