I was worried about the inconvenience of traveling in the rain, but the itinerary was very well planned. We could take shelter from the rain in the greenhouse of the botanical garden, the shops along the street in Zengcuo'an, and the cabin of the cruise ship. The pace was relaxed and suitable for the elderly. The atmosphere of the sea view and green plants in the rain was full of charm. It was a great experience!★

Gulangyu is a must visit when going to Xiamen. Brown, our guide, was fantastic with a lot of knowledge of Xiamen and China. One downside of the tour is that due to the holiday we could not start at the originally scheduled time because ferry tickets were sold out. We were able to complete the majority or the tour given the shorter duration. My advice is to spend more time on the island getting lost in the old town, looking at the incredible architecture as the buildings and history is impressive and interesting.★
