Reviews: [Popular experience IN Kyoto] Uji matcha + Japanese sake + inari sushi
Guest User2026-09-07
We were very satisfied with the itinerary; we didn't need to do any planning ourselves. The driver and guide were very enthusiastic and kept explaining things to us! They were also very considerate of our elderly family members, providing water in the car. Because we were traveling with elderly people, we ate relatively light meals. Later, we tried Inari sushi! It was delicious and highly recommended!

Reviews: Kyoto: Insider Sake Brewery Tour with Sake and Food Pairing
Guest User2026-11-01
One of our best days in Kyoto! It was very easy to find the meeting point, and the museum tour—including the Gekkeikan brewery history—was fascinating. Shogo was super knowledgeable and broke down complex chemical brewing processes and sake categories in a way that was simplified, memorable, and incredibly fun. I wish my school chemistry lessons had been taught this way! Other highlights included receiving a free souvenir sake cup, tasting the fresh groundwater, and sampling sake via the museum's coin machines. The final tasting room presentation was beautifully done, and the tasting cheat sheet card will be incredibly useful for the future. We left confidently knowing how to choose our favorite sakes and with excellent food pairing recommendations—including a great local yakitori spot Shogo suggested for dinner. We highly recommend this tour and look forward to taking his advanced course on our next visit to Japan!
