Simon was an excellent host for our tour. He took into account the make up of our group and our requests, in particular noting we were all keen to try some local gin as well as wine. We were very lucky with amazing weather! The tour bus was comfy and clean and the venues we visited were so friendly and informative. Lunch venue was absolutely perfect! Thanks for looking after us and highlighting the best of NZ / South Wairarapa. Great value, excellent service. Thank you.

Great way to sample wines from the less well known NZ wines from 3 well chosen vineyards. Good recommendation for lunch option. Informative, friendly guide.

Definitely a must when in Wellington! We had so much fun, great food/ wine and the activity program was very well organized. We saw the highlights of the region including the incredible NZ fur seals - all without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Our guide did an excellent job. Would recommend this tour to everyone. Ivona

Reviews: From Wellington: Half-Day Foodie Tour of the Wairarapa

I made a last-minute reservation the night before, and I was immediately contacted with the meeting time and confirmation of my participation in the tour, which made me feel at ease. The weather was fine on the day, and I enjoyed the guide's commentary and the drive to the first sightseeing spot. There are many winding, uphill roads along the way, so I recommend that people who get carsick easily or who are tired right after arriving take motion sickness medication beforehand. First, we visited a cheese shop and did a wine tasting at a Martinborough winery inside the shop, then moved to a table in the garden where a cheese platter was served. At this time, those who wish can have lunch for an additional charge. We ordered a glass of wine and enjoyed it with the cheese. Afterwards, we enjoyed a brand tasting at a chocolate shop. I think this is a tour where you can enjoy the flavors of New Zealand in half a day, as well as scenery of sheep, goats, and cows grazing along the way.
