An amazing trip to the beautiful mountains and countryside of Tashkent City. As part of the trip we visited a ski resort on the Amirsoy mountains. We took the cable car to the top of the mountain, the view of the snow covered mountains was breathtaking. The kids had a lot of fun snowball fighting, building a snowman and horse riding. Added to all this the guide, Murad was amazing and everything was well arranged by the tour operators including the car, tickets to the resort/cable car and he delicious lunch.

Reviews: Tashkent: Culture and modern city walking tour
Guest User2026-10-25
We normally do small group tours but decided that we should do a private tour to experience the difference if any. Our private tour with Peter exceeded our expectations. He provided a wonderful and memorable experience exploring and sharing Tashkent history culture and food. He is obviously well known by many of the people at the sites we visited and it felt like we got special attention. We had amazing experiences at the Bazar buying snacks and at the bakery section our iPhone got inside an oven. At the Central Asia Plov center near the tv tower we got close to the cooking and had a great lunch. The tour through the metro stations was very memorable, he made it easy. He also made sure we got tickets and got the proper tour at the Islamic Culture Center which is a must when in Tashkent. We experienced many different things that we probably would have missed if it wasn’t for Peter’s tour. Highly recommend Peter and this tour.

Border crossing can be complicated. There was no tourist other than me. There were 3 different check points for each side (Uzbekistan and Tajikstan). Border guards are friendly, but somewhat of an adventure. The museum in Khujund was interesting, but probably not worth the long day trip….. even though the trip by car one do see the cotton fields…..etc. Not a good idea for family. I took the trip out of curiosity and also want to see Tajikstan…..

This was very well organized, everything ran smoothly and punctualy. Nice comfy car. The solar complex was fascinating and my guide (Sadoqat) was very knowledgeable. After the Solar complex we went hiking in a beautiful forest about a 15 minute drive away. Sadoqat and I had a long and interesting conversation and I learnt a lot about life in Uzbekistan. Almost forgot, she speaks excellent English
