Reviews: Surabaya Mt Bromo + Sewu Waterfall 1-day tour [hotel transfer | private tour | jeep]

I checked many tour groups, but none of them offered day trips to Bromo and Sewu. My companion wanted to see both in one day, so I chose this company. We stayed in the city center, so we set off early. The driver was incredibly enthusiastic 😭😭😭. My bag was heavy, and he offered to carry it for me. He accompanied us the whole way. I didn't check the weather forecast beforehand, and it rained that day, so I missed the sunrise, which was a little disappointing. But the next day, the driver actually sent me the photos he had taken, which touched me deeply. Although the itinerary was tight (at our request), it was incredibly enjoyable. I booked all three of my tours with this company, and the customer service representative was also excellent; I really liked her. For Sewu Falls, I recommend bringing an extra set of clothes because the air is very misty. Our guide at Sewu Falls was also amazing; he took over 400 photos for us without charging a cent 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺. My companion and I were so happy that we gave him a small tip. We didn't bring many clothes, and we caught a slight chill and a cold when we got back. We had some medicine bought at the front desk, which was very helpful, but I still hope everyone will bring an extra layer if they go. We also went horseback riding. I rode a rainbow white horse, my first time riding, but I was quite steady. All the guides and drivers on this day tour were excellent. Although we didn't see the sunrise, we still had a great day. Oh, and our Jump van driver was also great at taking photos; he even gave me posing tips and took a bunch of pictures with my camera – fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Surabaya was a lot of fun, and I would definitely go again if I had the chance. I still have other volcanoes to see, so I highly recommend this tour!!!

We set off under the stars at dawn. After sunrise, the misty forest gradually dissipated, revealing Lonely Planet. Semeru slowly emerged as a mushroom cloud in the distance. Our guide, Kiki, was exceptionally responsible and excellent, proactively offering his services. He helped carry all our bags when he saw us taking photos, even bringing his own geography textbook! His photography skills were top-notch, and he knew all the popular photo spots like the back of his hand. The driver was great; he drove the jeep all the way to the railing, so we barely walked to and from the observation deck. The wait at the coffee shop wasn't long, and being indoors for a while kept us warm. We managed our time well, arriving back at the airport at 2 PM just in time to check in for our 3:30 PM flight. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

Reviews: Mt Bromo photography 1-day tour [Surabaya round-trip minibus + photographer + jeep + admission ticket]
Guest User2026-09-22
It was much more convenient than going on my own. The whole trip was tiring. They picked us up from our hotel near the airport at 11:30 PM, took a bus to the foot of the mountain, then transferred to jeeps to go up. We arrived at a coffee shop on the mountain around 2:30 AM to wait for the sunrise. We started climbing at 4:30 AM, and the sunrise was around 6:00 AM – a truly breathtaking sight! Seeing the volcano, the sunrise, and the crater made the whole day worthwhile. A word of caution: the road conditions were poor, and the ride was extremely bumpy. It's advisable to take motion sickness medication beforehand. The jeep bounced me around like a spoon, and I bumped my head on the roof! 😂 The guides and drivers were all very nice, and most importantly, it was a convenient and hassle-free trip. Afterwards, we went to the Wainam Wharf. My butt was killing me from sitting in the car all day, haha!

The price was very reasonable, and the reminders were very detailed. They even provided a list of what to bring, which made things very convenient. Although setting off at dawn was tiring, the scenery was truly breathtaking, and we even saw the sunrise – it was totally worth it! The guide also helped take many beautiful photos, making it a very enjoyable trip.
