This is a fantastic experience from start to finish. We got picked up at the Port on time and were taken to the sanctuary. After an introduction and safety brief, we were taken out and allowed to feed the elephants their breakfast. Amazing standing beside the elephants and seeing them up close. Each animal has a member of staff watching and helping you.....at no time did we ever feel unsafe. Next was making elephant poo parchment paper. 😂. It is not as gross as it sounds. After this, we got changed and headed up to the mud pit and pool. It was an incredible experience rubbing mud over them before we heading into the pool area. These animals were amazing and gentle with us. After washing them, we were guided to the showers where we could wash and change into clean dry clothing we brought. The sanctuary then gave us lunch. Wow. The food was amazing and so tasty. I would have been delighted to have it served to me at a restaurant it was sooooooo good. Right on time, our minibus collected us for a return journey to the port. I was looking forward to this visit for months before our cruise and I was not disappointed. The staff are doing a fantastic job rescuing elephants that are being harmed and educating locals in the animals welfare. Don't hesitate to visit the centre as it was a humbling experience at an extremely worthwhile cause. Thank you EJS for fantastic memories.

The driver was generally accommodating to our needs, but before departure, he suddenly asked us to hire a tour guide. After searching online, I found out that it wasn't a mandatory requirement, so I put aside my unnecessary worries. The driver was wearing a mask when we first got on the bus, which I thought showed good hygiene, but he took it off halfway through the trip and coughed occasionally. Two days later, both of us contracted influenza A. Of course, I was filled with suspicion and hoped that the driver would take better care of himself if he had any health issues.

Excellent transfer, highly recommended. I don't regret choosing it one bit. I had questions before booking, and they answered them all in the trip chat. Afterwards, I asked to message me on WhatsApp, and they created a group with the company representative, me, and the driver. All the details were confirmed, and the driver arrived at 7:11 AM (the transfer was scheduled for 8:00 AM) and sent a photo of the car's license plate and where it was parked. I calmly finished my business and went to see him.
