• Itinerary summary:

The vehicle will pick you up at the hotel at the scheduled time, departing from Chengde urban area. The private car will head north along the Daguang Expressway, pass through the Bakshying toll station, then turn onto National Highway 101 toward the Jinshanling Great Wall scenic area in Luanping County. The approximately 1-hour drive offers views of the terrain fluctuations in the northern section of the Yanshan Mountains. Upon arrival, enter the Jinshanling Great Wall scenic area. The Jinshanling Great Wall was built during the Ming Dynasty under the supervision of the renowned general Qi Jiguang. Stretching approximately 10.5 kilometers, it features 67 watchtowers and 3 beacon towers along its route, making it one of the more well-preserved and architecturally diverse sections of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. The wall is constructed with bricks and stones, with facilities like battlements, parapets, and observation holes largely intact. Some watchtowers still bear traces of their original structures.

The open section of the scenic area primarily uses brick battlements as entry and exit points, with access available on both the eastern and western sides: the western route leads toward the Liuyan Tower, gradually ascending in elevation with densely distributed watchtowers along the way; the eastern route passes through key points like the General Tower and Dajinshan Tower, extending to the Houchuankou area, offering expansive views of the Great Wall's undulating path along the mountain ridge, its masonry techniques, and the varying structures of watchtowers.

After the tour, the shuttle will be waiting in the parking lot to take you back safely to the designated location in Chengde urban area.

• About vehicle usage:

Generally, 1-3 people will be arranged a 5-seater, 4-5 people a 7-seater, and 6 or more people will have flexible vehicle arrangements based on the actual number of travelers to ensure a spacious and comfortable trip!
