Tokyo: Shibuya Pure Matcha Workshop with Japanese Sweets

Borussia Dortmund players visited us during the club’s Japan Tour cultural programme! They joined a matcha culture session and were introduced to our matcha and souvenir tins.

Join our Matcha Discovery Workshop in central Shibuya. Taste, prepare, and enjoy matcha while discovering the difference between modern matcha products and 100% pure matcha.

The workshop is held during the day in a relaxed bar space in central Shibuya, offering a casual way to experience matcha.

First, learn how matcha was enjoyed in Japan in the past. Then discover how it became popular in modern lattes, drinks, and sweets around the world.

Next, taste and compare two matcha products. Start with a modern matcha product commonly used in lattes and sweets. Then, try 100% pure matcha from Shizuoka!

Our pure matcha comes directly from a tea merchant in Shizuoka. The same family has worked with tea for 10 generations. This matcha is specially supplied for our workshop. It is not sold in stores and is available only through this experience.

Look at the color, smell the aroma, and taste the difference for yourself!

Then, prepare your own bowl of matcha using traditional Japanese tea tools. Measure the matcha with a bamboo tea scoop, add hot water, and whisk it with a bamboo whisk.

Our friendly English-speaking hosts will show you every step. No previous matcha or tea ceremony experience is needed.

Finally, enjoy the matcha you prepared with Japanese sweets!
