It was a great cultural immersion. Fans of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms and the Poet Du Fu will enjoy this trip. The driver is experienced and friendly. The car is comfortable. The tour guide, Jane, is knowledgable.

Reviews: Admission ticket + 2-hour guide service | optional package at Chengdu Museum
Guest User2026-07-23
I would say visiting Chengdu museum should be the first thing before you start your journey in Chengdu. Second and theird floor of this museum give you the insight of the long long history of Chengdu and what were then in China in general. If you start tracking the history dated 4700 years ago to pre Qin dynasty to the times of two Hans to Ming and Ching dynasties, you will learn and appreciate what is presented all in this museum. You do however need a very good guide to explain the details to you. I had my guide 桃子 who explained well in sequence in chinese and led me to understand better. If you are a traveller from a foreign country and would like to learn history of China in a broad terms in a short trip, get a guide who speaks in English to explain the times in different eras where China walked through the civilisation. You will be delighted and enriched.

Reviews: Chengdu Incredibly Face-Changing Sichuan Opera : Shufengyayun Ticket Booking Service
Guest User2026-09-16
An excellent theater. The performance is magnificent, including traditional masked acts, shadow theater, and folk music. Everything is very well-balanced; the show never tires, and it's captivating. If you book VIP seats, you can choose four gift options: a back massage, therapeutic needles, costumes, or a small souvenir. The performance itself and its presentation are unusual for Europeans. Tea and sunflower seeds are served during the show. Definitely worth a visit; everything is organized to the highest standard. The theater itself is located in a beautiful lotus-filled park, so you can arrive early and stroll around.

Reviews: Private Chengdu Tour: Panda Valley, Dujiangyan & Qingcheng Mountain
Guest User2026-02-10
We booked just 1 day in advance a 'private' car trip to Chengdu's Panda Valley and Dujiangyan - Area. As soon as we got a confirmation (at 11pm!) the commuicative staff set up a WeChat (WeiXin) - Group for our trip. Over this group different agents checked in with us, all directly immediately responsive and in English. The driver - we booked 'just' a driver, non Engkish speaking - was already involved. He was used to communicate with a translation app - so no problems at all. We even arranged some different timing and some in between stops with him. Great experience!! Easy going, personal, friendly, helpful and with a very reasonable fair price . Definitely a big recommendation!!

Reviews: Bipenggou Private Tour
Guest User2026-09-06
We booked a private tour with Aether Tours to Bipenggou and had a wonderful experience. Our driver, Mr. Lu, was very friendly, approachable and attentive. He arrived earlier than the appointed time to pick us up from our hotel, which was greatly appreciated. During the journey, Mr. Lu regularly checked on us to make sure we were comfortable. He also kindly assisted us with purchasing the tickets for the scenic area, making the whole process much easier for us. The Aether Tours staff also checked in on us during the trip to make sure everything was going well and that we were safe and comfortable. After a long day at Bipenggou, Mr. Lu noticed that we were tired on the drive back. Knowing it was a long journey, he kindly told us to relax and take a nap. This thoughtful gesture really showed how caring and considerate he was. We truly appreciated the excellent service from both Mr. Lu and the Aether Tours team. Highly recommended, and we would definitely use Aether Tours again!
