I lived here for about four years, relying on Liu Biao, a member of the imperial family.Jingzhou Ancient CityThe remaining castle walls are 9.3km in circumference, 8.8m high, and approximately 10m thick.It was rebuilt in the third year of Shunzhi (1646) of the Qing Dynasty.The city walls were first built by Guan Yu, the general of Shu during the Three Kingdoms period, as earthen walls, but later they were made of bricks during the Southern Song Dynasty.There are not many cities in all of China where the city walls remain in such good condition.Jingzhou MuseumIt's inside the castle walls.There are many exhibits of cultural artifacts from the Chu Dynasty during the Spring and Autumn Warring States Period.Many tombs were built on the site of Kinan Castle, which was the capital of the Chu state, and items excavated from them are on display.This exhibit allows you to realize that a distinctly different ethnic group and culture from Nakahara flourished here.Also on display is a male mummy from the Western Han Dynasty, which was also excavated in Kinan.Kanteibyo TempleIt is located at the south gate of Jingzhou Ancient City.With a site area of ​​4,500 square meters, it was built in the 29th year of Hongwu (1396), rebuilt in the 19th year of Ming Wanli, and expanded in 1650 (1650) and 10th year of Yongzheng (1732).During Guan Yu's tenure as governor of Jingzhou, he managed Xingxianggu County here for over 10 years.Unfortunately, the real building was destroyed by fire from the Japanese army that attacked Wuhan during the Sino-Japanese War.
