Wuzhen is incredibly beautiful, a typical Jiangnan water town with its charming bridges, flowing water, and pristine environment. Both daytime and nighttime views are distinctive, and the overall atmosphere is very comfortable – definitely worth a visit. Our tour guide was extremely professional and attentive, providing clear and engaging explanations. The itinerary was well-planned, and everyone's needs were taken care of, making the entire trip relaxing and enjoyable. Overall, I was very satisfied with the experience and highly recommend it!

I had an amazing time—even with the rain! I felt a little bad asking my guide to stay out in the weather, but Jenny was an absolute trooper. She went above and beyond the entire day. She’s truly incredible—knowledgeable, funny, kind, patient, and even a fantastic photographer. She also made everything feel effortless, from navigating the towns to helping me capture beautiful moments I’ll always remember. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better guide. Both Wuzhen and Nanxun are absolutely stunning in their own ways—Wuzhen with its charming canals, stone bridges, and lantern-lined streets, and Nanxun with its quieter elegance, historic residences, and peaceful water views. The rain added this soft, dreamy atmosphere that made everything feel like a movie scene or a traditional painting. Every corner felt picturesque, and there was so much beauty and history to take in. I didn’t want to leave. This was a 100% unforgettable experience and one I’d highly recommend to everyone!

Since I was on a tour with Chinese people, communication was difficult. The guide spoke so fast that I could barely understand anything. We had to eat at designated restaurants, and the prices were on the expensive side. Since you have to take the train directly from Shanghai, I recommend going independently rather than on a tour. Perhaps because I had high expectations for Suzhou, it wasn't much different from Suzhou, and I think Suzhou was better.

Punctual and great one day itinerary for covering most all attractions in Suzhou. It is long but totally worth it to do these many attractions in one day if you don't have the time to split it in more days. The tour and guide was all in Chinese, no English so use technology to help you during the site visits. Usually the option to rent English audio guides at most tourist sites - always ask at the entrance.
