Chatsworth House is the mansion of the hereditary Duke of Devonshire, located in the northern Peak District of England (Peak District) Within the national park. In the mid-16th century, Bess of Hardwick built a mansion here, which later underwent Baroque reconstruction from the late 17th century and large-scale expansion in the 19th century. The gardens were successively designed by renowned figures such as Brown in the 18th century and Paxton in the 19th century. The former transformed formal gardens into expansive natural landscapes, while the latter left behind giant rock gardens and iconic fountains, creating a blend of garden styles spanning several centuries. Over more than 400 years from the 15th to the 19th century, through the meticulous design and construction by many famous horticulturists, it became one of the most beautiful estates in England and an important part of British cultural heritage.Chatsworth · 19.5 km from Sheffield

Absolutely fantastic. Would recommend the buggy ride around the garden. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The house and all the staff made you feel very welcome and relaxed. The markets are really good and have a very nice vibe and the house itself is decorated very well with a different theme every year. This year it's Henry and the Lion! The gardens are also lit up at night so definitely go for a walk after leaving the house if you have time. You will need to book tickets early ..

Sheffield Winter Gardens is a very nice view. I drove by and didn't have too many expectations, so I had a lot of fun! The vegetation is very rich and there are many flowers. Overall, it's worth the trip!

A big market, just like a domestic vegetable market, where you can buy daily fruits, vegetables and meat, and you can also cut the meat into small pieces as required. There are often 10 mangoes for 1 pound or 2 boxes of grapes for 1 pound, which is quite affordable.

You can visit this location for free and it's not far from the Sheffield city centre. Lovely location with historical buildings, greenhouse, rose garden and ancient trees. Good for family visits and letting your pets stretch their legs.

Took my younger cousin here for the day. You get a free year pass included with the price. He enjoyed all the different areas and the outside area which also has a water park. would recommend with younger children. Can be busy though.
