Taohuayuan Ancient Town
Taohuayuan Ancient Town is located about 50 kilometers southwest of Taoyuan County, Changde City, Hunan Province, adjacent to Taohuayuan Scenic Area. It was built based on the legend of "Utopia" written by Tao Yuanming. The ancient town covers an area of about 1,600 acres, with a core Ming and Qing style building complex of more than 400,000 square meters. The small bridges and flowing water, blue tiles and white walls, and archway bridges complement each other. It has both the charm of Jiangnan water town and the folk customs of Hunan. Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is where Zhangjiajie tourism originates. "Everyone knows Zhangjiajie, but who recognizes Wulingyuan?" Many visitors are confused about the relationship between Zhangjiajie and Wulingyuan. Generally, Zhangjiajie refers to both Zhangjiajie City and the Zhangjiajie attraction. The Zhangjiajie attraction specifically means Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which—together with Tianzi Mountain, Suoxi Valley, and Yangjiajie—forms the Wulingyuan scenic area. Since Zhangjiajie National Forest Park was developed earlier and gained greater fame, even Zhangjiajie City was renamed after it. As a result, people commonly use "Zhangjiajie National Forest Park" or "Zhangjiajie attraction" to refer to the Wulingyuan scenic area. "Three thousand spectacular peaks and eight hundred beautiful waters." The three thousand spectacular peaks, in particular, are world-renowned. Wulingyuan's mountains stand apart from famous peaks around the world. Orange Isle Scenic Area
Orange Isle Scenic Area is a narrow sandbar lying across the heart of the Xiang River in Changsha, stretching approx. five km. It faces Yuelu Mountain to the west and borders Changsha's old city to the east, surrounded by water on all sides. Named after the abundant orange trees planted on the isle, it was historically called Shuiluzhou. Formed by river alluvium, this sandbar has existed for over a millennium, where the "River and sky in evening snow" scenery was once among the Eight Views of Xiaoxiang. In 1925, the poem "Spring in a pleasure garden - Changsha" was composed here, with its iconic line "Alone I stand in the biting fall, watching the Xiang River flow north past Orange Isle's head," which made this riverine landmark widely renowned. The highlights of the visit are concentrated at the islet's head: A granite art sculpture over 30 m tall, modeled after the 1925 youth image, stands facing the river as Changsha's highly recognizable landmark. Fanjing Mountain is located in Tongren, northeastern Guizhou province, with an elevation of 2,572 m. As the highest peak of the Wuling Mountains, it is a member of the UNESCO "Man and Biosphere" program, a World Natural Heritage site, and a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The Mount Fanjing Biosphere Reserve covers a total area of 428.63 km². Additionally, Mount Fanjing boasts vast areas for viewing red leaves. Every fall, the layered forests are dyed in vibrant hues, with the red leaves complementing the mountain temples. Here, you can take a cable car to overlook the endless stretches of red foliage or stroll along the mountain paths, surrounded by fiery red leaves on both sides and above. The red cloud golden summit is the core of Foshan. The two temples standing majestically on the peak, with two buddhas presiding, create an infinite dharma realm. This masterpiece of the Southern Song Dynasty's White Lotus Society in constructing a "pure land on earth" is a miracle in the history of Buddhist development on famous mountains. Take the sightseeing bus from the attraction entrance to the cableway, then ride the cableway up and walk straight to the top to see the famous "mushroom stone." The scenic area's shuttle bus offers the option to drive yourself via QR code for 60 yuan per hour, easily accommodating two adults and two children.
The park itself, with its two mountains and one lake, is quite large; walking around without the shuttle would take more than half a day.
The Water Pavilion is great for sightseeing, and the Renshou Palace is large and beautiful, and not commercialized.

It's alright. There are indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pools are mainly children's play pools, and the outdoor pools are mainly soaking pools. If you say there are more than 100 pools, I don't think it looks like there are more than 100 pools.

The scenery of Taohuayuan Ancient Town is so beautiful. There are not many people. There are many antique buildings with unique features. It is suitable for taking photos and checking in. It is very interesting. You can stroll around the ancient town and eat local food. It is very cost-effective and good!

It drizzled all day, but we still went to Yiwangxi to keep up with our itinerary, even though there were only four of us. The boat trips still went ahead as planned. The scenery along the river was beautiful; the mountains seemed veiled in a thin gauze, like a woman half-concealing her face, ethereal and otherworldly. Unfortunately, photos taken on the river didn't capture the full effect. But the view was absolutely breathtaking.

Luckily, the weather was good during my visit, and I had clear views of the beautiful canyon. The natural scenery was definitely the highlight.During my visit, only Route C was available for transportation in one direction. Fortunately, the organization was reasonable, and the queues were not too long. However, the attraction was extremely crowded despite it being a weekday, possibly due to the good weather.There are several different paths, which can make getting around confusing. The biggest drawback was the large number of tour groups. Some tourists showed little consideration or respect for others, making it difficult to enjoy the scenery peacefully. The atmosphere often felt chaotic, with people competing for space and access to attractions.Overall, the natural scenery is beautiful, but the excessive crowds, inconsiderate tour groups, and confusing routes affected the experience. Better crowd management would make this attraction much more enjoyable.

There were no assigned seats, so you could sit anywhere. We spent most of our time on the third deck enjoying the view and taking photos. Although it was very hot outside, there was a breeze on both sides of the deck, so it wasn't too bad. There were karaoke machines and vendors selling snacks and drinks on both the second and third decks. The air conditioning on the second deck was very strong. We arrived at the pier half an hour early, and there was already a queue.

During the self-driving trip, I chose to stop at the Changde Daxiaohe Street. After nightfall, when the lights were on, I took a walk on the river street, ate along the way, and felt the evening breeze of Liuye Lake. It was so pleasant! The Changde rice noodles and bowl dishes on the river street are also very distinctive. The city of Changde gives people a feeling of cleanliness and freshness, and the pace of life is not too fast, which is exactly the fulfillment of the saying "Changde, so smart".

Having visited many mountain scenic areas, Fanjingshan is quite unique. Whether it's the Red Cloud Golden Summit or the Old Golden Summit, the paths are narrow and steep in some places, making it very exciting. I made a special trip during my holiday to experience it, and it was definitely worth the trip.
