[Passport Verification Methods]

1. Online Verification: After activating your eSIM in Korea, please have your passport and the received PDF voucher ready. Visit

and use the 010 Phone Number and Rental Contact Number from the PDF voucher to complete real-name verification online, which will instantly activate your benefits. (Vietnamese passport holders who are unable to use online verification, please complete the process offline.)

1. The free phone number only provides free incoming calls and text messages. If you wish to make calls or send text messages, you will need to top up (top-up is only available after completing passport verification). 2. Data top-up must be done within the validity period of the package. It cannot be topped up after the package expires. Any unused balance will be cleared after the validity period ends.

3. International call/SMS rates: Rates vary by region (KRW 990/min for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, and United States; KRW 1,458.6/min for Chinese mainland, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Philippines, and Indonesia). For detailed communication charges, please refer to

1. The complimentary phone number is exclusively for tourists holding non-Korean passports. Korean passport holders are not eligible for this complimentary service.

2. Without completing real-name verification, only data services are available. After verification, this phone number cannot be used for services requiring personal authentication (such as app registration). The 1-day unlimited plan does not support obtaining a phone number through real-name verification.

3. One passport can only be used for real-name verification of one eSIM. During the validity period of the eSIM plan, a passport that has completed SKT real-name verification cannot be used for verification of other SKT eSIMs or SIM cards. It can only be reused for verification after the current plan expires.

How to use

[Install eSIM]
*Each QR Code can only be used on one device. Once installed, the eSIM will be bound to that device and cannot be transferred to another.
In-app activation for iOS (not available on Android):
Please ensure your Trip.com App is updated to the latest version and your iPhone system is upgraded to iOS 17.4 or higher. You can then install the eSIM directly within the App. Open the Trip.com App > Go to Account > All Bookings > Tap the “Activate” button.
 
Scan QR code/Manually enter eSIM information to install:
1. Open the QR code attachment from the order in the Trip.com app, and print it in advance or save it to another electronic device. (iOS 17 and above systems can directly save it to the phone)
2. Open Cellular Network (iOS) or SIM Card Management (Android) in Settings.
3. While the phone is connected to the internet, click "Add Cellular Network" (iOS) or "Add SIM Card Management" (Android) and scan the QR code to install.
4. If you can't scan the code, enter the "SM-DP+Address and Activation Code" from the order receipt to install.
5. If steps 3/4 fail, your phone may be locked by the home carrier (unable to use other carrier networks). Contact the carrier to unlock it before using eSIM.
 
[Using eSIM]
1. Turn off the primary SIM card and turn on the eSIM network switch.
2. Enable Cellular Network (iOS) or SIM Card (Android).
3. If you still cannot connect to the internet after the above settings, set the APN and restart. See the information below for details.
 
[About APN]
1. If you purchase an eSIM that covers multiple countries/regions, and you cannot connect to the internet upon arrival in a new area, manually switch the APN (it should switch automatically under normal conditions).
2. Setting Path: Cellular Number --> Cellular Data Network, or Mobile Network --> Mobile Data Network, or Mobile Services --> Mobile Data Network.
3. Enter APN: lte.sktelecom.com
4. Restart your phone.

Important note

[Phone Compatibility] 

1.Your device supports eSIM function 

Query Method: Dial "*#06#" in the dial interface. If "EID" is displayed, the phone supports eSIM; if not, it does not support eSIM. 

2. The phone is not a network-locked phone 

Query Method: Check with your Telecom Operator to see if your device is open for all network bands 

* Please check whether you meet the above conditions before purchasing. Only when all conditions are met can you use eSIM normally. 


[Set up eSIM] 

eSIM can only be installed when there is an internet connection, so it is recommended to install eSIM 6-12 hours before your departure, and Some eSIMs may need to be activated upon arrival at the destination.

Each QR code can only be installed once, we are not able to assist you if the eSIM has been deleted from your device.


[Disable Domestic SIM Card Roaming]

Before using the eSIM, please ensure that the data roaming function of your domestic SIM card is turned off to avoid incurring high international roaming charges and data conflicts.
