The sunrise hike mainly involves circling Uluru, starting from the south side of the rock. Many secret points on the southeast side prohibit photography. The first section typically takes from 6:00 AM to 8:45 AM. After breakfast, the hike continues, allowing you to see the pools and other scenic views. The guide will tell us legends about Uluru, stories of the Mala people's celebrations, tales of the blue-tongued lizard, the legend of the snake-man battle, and the purpose and significance of each cave. I won't go into detail here, but it fully showcases the culture, beliefs, and customs of the Aboriginal people. We expected the hike to be very hot, but fortunately, the difficulty level was low, and it was mostly flat. Combined with the temperature difference between day and night, we barely sweated. It was particularly cold in the morning; wearing a light down jacket wouldn't have been excessive lately. However, it became much better once the sun rose. Breakfast included nuts, hot water for tea and chocolate, apples, orange juice, biscuits, etc. Surprisingly, only my friend and I were Chinese in our group; the rest were older Caucasians who preferred chocolate and nut cereal. We stopped for a restroom once during the trip, and there was another restroom about 600 meters away near breakfast. Highly recommend the experience. The guide's firsthand account was much more immersive than some blog posts about guides. You can touch the stones, feel the different temperature differences, and see the stones change color from sunrise to noon. It was a truly wonderful trip.

We had booked a sunset ride, and coincidentally, there were three of us girls in the car. First, they taught us how to drive the Segways, practicing on a "track"—it was relatively simple. Once we were comfortable, we set off. We booked a Chinese satellite guide, one phone per person, but mine wouldn't play; the audio would cut off immediately after the beginning, which was a huge disappointment. Once the Segways were up, the breeze was wonderful, but in the afternoon, the bugs were really biting! We were constantly swatting them away. Also, there's a stretch of road where the sun is incredibly bright in the afternoon—definitely bring sunglasses! When we arrived at the parking area, you could hike to see the pool, but we'd already seen it, so we went straight to enjoy sunset champagne. We sat there watching the sunset and drinking champagne until the colors of the giant rocks changed from yellow to orange to red, then the bright light faded from the rocks, the sun went down, and the guide drove us back. It was a truly magical and wonderful experience; I highly recommend trying it, but be sure to take precautions against mosquitoes and the sun.
