BritRail Pass introduction:

1. Unlimited train travel across the UK (Hipswell, Scotland, and Wales) on over 20 rail operators, including but not limited to the following services:

1) CrossCountry Trains: Its routes span from Aberdeen in the north to Plymouth in the south, Cardiff in the west, and Cambridge in the east.

2) East Midlands Trains (EMT): The main routes are concentrated in the mid-eastern region of Hipswell.

3) Virgin Trains: Virgin Trains exclusively operates high-speed rail services, with its West Coast mainline reaching speeds of 125 mph. Major stations served include Birmingham, Edinburgh, London (Euston Station), Glasgow, Leicester, Liverpool (Lime Street Station), Manchester (Piccadilly Station), Sheffield, and other major cities.

4) ScotRail: The main stations are in major Scottish cities such as Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and more.

5) Arriva Trains Wales: Main stations include Birmingham (Birmingham New Street), Cardiff, Coventry, Manchester, Swansea, etc. The highlight of Arriva Trains Wales is the beautiful scenery along the route. However, if you want to take photos as souvenirs, you must apply on the official website at least 14 working days in advance to get permission for photography!

2. Passengers can take the Gatwick Express, Heathrow Express, Stansted Express, and Thameslink trains (the pass must be activated before boarding and will count as one travel day).

3. You can take the Caledonian Sleeper and Night Riviera Sleeper overnight trains (berth reservations must be made before boarding).

All regions shown on the map are accessible by train with a BritRail Pass.

The difference between first class and second class tickets

Standard class (second class ticket) in the UK offers comfortable seating with quality service. First class provides a quieter environment, featuring wider seats, larger windows, and more luggage space. On most routes, first class includes complimentary hot tea and coffee, while select routes offer additional perks like a complimentary snack and newspapers. Some long-distance services provide at-seat dining or self-service meal options.

Please note that not all trains in the UK offer first-class carriages (some routes only provide second-class service). Please choose your ticket type wisely based on your travel plans.

Exclusion scope

1) Not applicable to Northern Ireland.

2) Not applicable to the following transportation: Eurostar, Tyne and Wear Metro, Glasgow Subway, Manchester Metrolink, airport transfers, London DLR, all tram services, private railways, steam trains, London Underground and buses, cruises, hovercrafts, and other unmentioned transportation services.

Ticket validity period

You can start using it directly from the activation date.

[Consecutive Pass] Must be used on consecutive days starting from the first day of use. (For example, an "8-day consecutive pass" starting on Feb 11 will expire on Feb 18)

[Flexi Pass] From the date of first use, travel by train on any days within the pass's validity period and duration without requiring consecutive days. (For example, "8 days of use within 1 month" - if activated on Feb 11, you can freely choose any 8 days to use the pass before Mar 10.)

Once selected, the date of use cannot be changed or canceled. Please note that the days in the pass are calendar days, from 12:00 AM to 12:00 AM the following day.

Seat reservation information

1) Seat reservations are only available locally.

2) You can reserve seats for any train at the ticket office of any station covered by the pass.

3) Seat reservations are not mandatory within the UK (except for night trains) and do not apply to all trains.

Ride Instructions

1) No need to print tickets, just show your e-voucher to station staff.

2) If there is no QR code ticket gate, go to the side door and show your e-ticket to the staff.

3) A First Class pass allows travel in Second Class without a refund for the price difference. If traveling in First Class with a Second Class pass, the full fare difference between First Class and Second Class tickets for the route traveled must be paid.

4) If traveling through countries not covered by the pass, you must pay the fare for the countries passed through.

5) During your cross-border train journey, you will need to present your passport to staff for verification.

6) The transfer time between trains is only a few minutes. We recommend preparing to disembark in advance to avoid missing your connection.

7) If the train is delayed or canceled due to force majeure, promptly check the app for alternative train numbers to the same destination, or seek assistance from station staff at the local service desk.

8) Rail passes are not sold locally in the UK. Please purchase your tickets before traveling abroad or choose a UK digital rail pass product.

Each passenger can carry up to 3 pieces of baggage: 2 large items (suitcases or backpacks) + 1 carry-on item (briefcase).

10) For overnight trains, 2 days will be deducted from the validity period, meaning you cannot take an overnight train on the last day of the validity period.

Eligibility

1) Passengers without UK permanent residency (who have not resided in the UK for 6 months or more)

2) Passengers holding a UK passport who have not resided in the UK for the past 6 months can purchase the product, but must prepare proof of residence in another country or a recent utility bill from the past 6 months as documentation.

Age description:

1) Children aged 15 and under can travel for free with an adult, but a free ticket reservation fee applies. Please provide the child's information to customer support when booking to avoid travel issues.

1 adult can accompany a maximum of 1 child for free.

Note:

1) When traveling with a UK rail pass, if your train is delayed or canceled, please adjust your travel plans independently and board a new train. Rail companies do not have a clear compensation process or method for pass holders, and we kindly ask you not to submit such requests to us. Since the pass itself is not tied to specific train numbers, the conditions differ from those for passengers with point-to-point tickets. If you still wish to pursue compensation, we recommend discussing the matter directly with local staff or visiting the official website of the relevant train operator to submit a compensation claim. We do not accept or process such requests on your behalf, as this falls outside the scope of responsibilities for a pass reseller. We appreciate your understanding!

2) UK Rail Pass orders cannot be changed or refunded once confirmed.

3) Due to the current travel situation in the UK changing daily because of irregular service disruptions, all passengers must check the train schedules at www.nationalrail.co.uk. Please check the train schedule a few hours before your trip and allow plenty of time at the station to connect with your departure train.
