Odong Island is just a 10-minute drive from downtown Yeosu, and it takes approx. 15 minutes to reach the Odong Island parking lot. You can also reach it by walking along the breakwater. It is worth noting that the murals on this breakwater were created by artists from the Yeosu Fine Arts Association over the course of 1 month. This path has even been included in the <100 Beautiful Roads of Korea>, creating a wonderful atmosphere. It is part of Hallyeohaesang National Park. Odong Island has two legends associated with it. One is that during the late Goryeo Dynasty, Sin Don saw a phoenix fly to Odong Island to eat paulownia fruit, so he cut down all the paulownia trees on Odong Island. Another is that a young, beautiful woman encountered bandits and, to preserve her chastity, threw herself into the blue waves of the sea. Her husband, upon learning of this, built a grave at the foot of a mountain on Odong Island. That winter, during a blizzard, camellias bloomed on the snow-covered grave, and bamboo, symbolizing chastity, grew there. For this reason, people also call camellias 'women's heart flowers'. After passing the legend monument, you can see a model of a turtle ship located in the center of the square. Behind it is a musical fountain, and you can also see another breakwater. At the cruise terminal here, you can take a boat to tour around Odong Island, or take a boat to Dolsan Bridge, Hyangilam Hermitage, and the Geumo Islands. The breakwater that extends to Gwangyang Bay on the east side and is also a great place for fishing. From the central square, go straight up the walking path leading to the island's peak, and pass through the bamboo tunnel to reach the circular walking path that connects to the outer edge of the island. Camellias and bamboo grow everywhere on Odong Island. It is said that in the past, Admiral Yi Sun-sin cut down the bamboo here to use as arrows when training his soldiers.Yeosu · 9.7 km from downtown

Known as one of the four Taoist temples dedicated to Goddess of Mercy in South Korea, Xiangilian Temple is located on the edge of Dosan Island. After walking through the parking lot with a view of the sea, and climbing the stone steps that reach almost 40 degrees, you will see the green sky. Shade the blue sky. The freshness that glitters in the sunlight adds a mysterious atmosphere to Xiangrian. When you start to feel a little pain in your legs, you will find that the stone gate rungs leading to Xiangri-an are in front of you. Knowing that facing the sky, the body is very small, and it is a stone gate that can only be passed with the head down. There is also a saying that the deeper you go on the road to welcome the sunrise of the new year, the more humble you can learn. Handkerchief-sized sunlight scatters on the stone gate like 'Yizhumen'. If you walk through here and climb the stone steps again, you can enjoy a place where you can watch the Jinao Mountain in the back and experience the view of the sea and the sky in front of the mountain. The view of the connection brings double the pleasure to the trip. There are very few places in South Province that are famous for the sunrise, not only the sunrise but also the sunset. It stopped breathing on the cliff, descended to the other side of the sea level, and rose out of the sea when it came to visit in the early morning. Xiangri Nunnery is located on the cliff of Jinao Mountain. The shape of the mountain is like a turtle swimming to the Dragon Palace on its back. Therefore, the metal 'Jin and Haiao's ao' is called Jinao Mountain. Part of it is shaped like a turtle, and the Xiangri Nunnery is called Jinaoyan, and it is also called Linggui Nunnery because of the nunnery filled with the soul of the turtle. On days when the waves are up and down, it's like a turtle swimming in the ocean that seems to suddenly disappear.Yeosu · 22.8 km from downtown

Located in Yeosu, South Korea, Yeosu romantic carriage street is a renowned nightlife landmark in this coastal city. It is not a traditional restaurant, but rather a collection of colorful, uniquely designed food carts. As night falls, these carts line up neatly along the seaside, creating a beautiful scene against the backdrop of the distant bridge's brilliant lights and the shimmering sea. Here, the food is just as important as the view. Each cart offers its own signature dishes, allowing you to enjoy a feast for both the palate and the eyes, all while feeling the sea breeze. Beyond the food, this is a great place to experience the local pace of life. Street performers often entertain here, adding extra energy to the romantic night. It is said that there are more than 280 species and 33,000 marine creatures to meet everyone. The aquarium's symbol - the white whale, named Belu, it and its three brothers have been through more than 4 years of labor pains and successfully bred artificially for the first time in Korea. The journey takes less than 20 minutes, one bay and two islands. Overall, the cost performance is not high. It is okay to see the night view of the bay in the evening, but during the day... There is nothing to see

Yi Sun-sin Square, where I stopped by briefly during my trip to Yeosu. The wide open sea and the wide square were impressive. I was able to reflect on the historical significance in front of the statue of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, and it was nice to walk along the surrounding trails. There were many cafes and restaurants nearby, so it was a great course to take a break. It was a place where I could feel the charm of Yeosu in a leisurely atmosphere.

4.5 points It's a place that's too bad to come to Yeosu and not see Hyangil-am. It's almost at the end of Dolsan, so the travel time is long, and even when you get there, you have to climb a lot to see Hyangil-am, but the way up is very beautiful and the scenery is spectacular. I hope you try it just for the view of the sea from a high place, even if you don't care about religion.

The luge is so much fun!!! It's so much fun that I feel like I end up riding it at least 2 or 3 times!! It feels even more enjoyable because the track is longer than those at other places. You can even see dinosaurs while riding the lift, so there are plenty of fun elements! Don't forget to take photos at the photo zone after riding the luge!

I parked at Dolsan Park, took the Yeosu Marine Cable Car, and then went into Odongdo. It was bright when I went in, but I came out enjoying the night view and had great timing!! This is a must-see course for traveling to Yeosu! If you go in the cold winter, there won't be many people, and it's great to take a walk and enjoy the Yeosu sea. It's great to take the cable car, and it's great to just go by car. There are a lot of delicious restaurants and places to go in the winter, so be sure to go!
