Mactan Island is the premier hub for watersports in Cebu, offering a combination of high-speed thrills and scenic aerial views. Most activities are concentrated around the Punta Engaño and Maribago areas, where the waters are generally calm and ideal for motorized sports.
Here is a breakdown of what to expect from the big three activities:
Banana Boat: The Group Laugh
Perfect for families or groups of friends, the banana boat is an inflatable "sled" pulled by a speedboat.
The goal is simple: try to stay on. The speedboat will make wide, fast turns to create waves, causing the banana boat to bounce and tilt. It's a bumpy, splashy, and hilarious ride.
Life jackets are mandatory, as there is a high chance of falling into the water during sharp turns.

Jet Ski Ride: The Speed Thrill
This is the go-to for adrenaline junkies. You can choose to drive solo or with a partner.
You'll be given a designated "play area" away from swimmers and island-hopping boats. You can test your speed, practice sharp turns, or simply cruise while enjoying the view of the Mactan skyline and the nearby 5-star resorts.

Parasailing: The Aerial View
If you want a mix of adrenaline and peace, parasailing is the best choice. You are harnessed to a colorful parachute and winched up from the back of a specialized speedboat.
As the boat gains speed, you'll soar to heights of 150 to 300 feet. It is surprisingly quiet and serene once you are in the air. You'll get a 360-degree view of the Hilutungan Channel, the CCLEX bridge, and the surrounding Olango Island reef flat.
The flight itself usually lasts about 15 minutes.
