The Chocolate Hills are a natural wonder located in the central part of Bohol Island, Philippines, near Carmen. Comprising 1,268 conical hills, the Chocolate Hills range in height from 40 to 120 m. These hills cluster closely together like haystacks scattered across the fields. Some have rounded domes, while others are more conical in shape. Covered with wild grass, they appear vibrant green during the rainy season. From February to May, the dry season turns the grass brown under the scorching sun, resembling chocolate—hence the name Chocolate Hills.

Tarsiers are extremely small with large, round eyes that resemble glasses, hence their name. They have long tails, move by leaping, and are nocturnal creatures with an endearing appearance. When visiting Bohol Island, don't miss the chance to observe these adorable creatures at the Tarsier Visitor Center. Remarkably, tarsiers can rotate their heads 180 degrees and jump to heights over 20 times their own size.

The man-made forest was intentionally planted or transplanted approximately 50 years ago, resulting in neatly arranged rows that have now grown into a dense woodland. The towering trees provide ample shade, making it an ideal summer retreat. It's a great spot for photo opportunities. However, please be mindful of passing vehicles when taking photos and avoid standing in the middle of the road—safety first.
