Reviews: Sanxingdui Museum ◆ VIP private tour guide service ◆ certified senior guide one-on-one in-depth explanation

Ctrip Review: The guided tour of Sanxingdui booked through Ctrip was an excellent experience, and I especially want to thank our guide, Linda (Xiaolin). Two of our group members are in their 80s, and I contacted Xiaolin beforehand to request an earlier start, which she readily agreed to. Sanxingdui doesn't open until 8:30 am, but she arrived at the ticket gate at 7:30 am and was among the first to enter. When I arrived at 8:15 am, she was already there waiting. Knowing we had elderly members, she went to the visitor center in Hall 1 ahead of time to rent wheelchairs for us and waited for us there. She was incredibly thoughtful and attentive; since I wasn't wearing a mask due to my health condition, she even shared a medical mask with me. The entire tour was meticulous, professional, and patient. She explained each artifact, especially the key ones, in detail, and her explanation of the ancient Shu Kingdom's history was clear and professional. After the tour, she even helped us return the wheelchairs and pointed out a shortcut for the children to exit the museum. I am truly grateful for this trip, extremely satisfied, and highly recommend it!

Reviews: Chengdu Sanxingdui Museum Ticket - Travel Through 3,000 Years of Ancient Shu Civilization with Optional Guided Tour
Guest User2026-09-17
It's the most modern museum I've ever seen, very well structured and extensive. It has a wealth of information on panels and virtual images. We visited the restoration hall; they were incredibly well-prepared. I congratulate China for investing in culture, as this spectacular museum demonstrates.

Reviews: Sanxingdui Museum Live Guide in Sichuan [3-Hour Expert Commentary | Optional Admission Ticket | Multiple Time Slots Available]

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly recommend Guide Xiao's guided tour of Sanxingdui! The 3-hour in-depth guided tour I booked far exceeded my expectations. Guide Xiao is professional and rigorous, rejecting online myths and anecdotes, clearly distinguishing between archaeological evidence and academic speculation, and providing reasoned and well-supported explanations. The route was well-planned, and the headsets were clear, allowing for clear listening even in noisy exhibition halls. He pointed out details of craftsmanship and textures on the artifacts that are easily overlooked by the naked eye, connecting the history of ancient Shu with that of the Central Plains, and organizing scattered artifacts into a complete historical narrative. His explanations are engaging and not rote, with a suitable pace that is easy for both adults and children to follow. He patiently answers all kinds of questions. The three hours were packed with valuable information, going beyond a superficial visit and allowing for a true understanding of Sanxingdui. Booking Guide Xiao's tour is highly recommended.

The place is super clean and the cats are extremely well cared for. They are all docile and easy to interact with. I stayed there for almost 3 hours and I didn't want to leave!
