The sunrise hike mainly involves circling Uluru, starting from the south side of the rock. Many secret points on the southeast side prohibit photography. The first section typically takes from 6:00 AM to 8:45 AM. After breakfast, the hike continues, allowing you to see the pools and other scenic views. The guide will tell us legends about Uluru, stories of the Mala people's celebrations, tales of the blue-tongued lizard, the legend of the snake-man battle, and the purpose and significance of each cave. I won't go into detail here, but it fully showcases the culture, beliefs, and customs of the Aboriginal people.
We expected the hike to be very hot, but fortunately, the difficulty level was low, and it was mostly flat. Combined with the temperature difference between day and night, we barely sweated. It was particularly cold in the morning; wearing a light down jacket wouldn't have been excessive lately. However, it became much better once the sun rose.
Breakfast included nuts, hot water for tea and chocolate, apples, orange juice, biscuits, etc. Surprisingly, only my friend and I were Chinese in our group; the rest were older Caucasians who preferred chocolate and nut cereal.
We stopped for a restroom once during the trip, and there was another restroom about 600 meters away near breakfast.
Highly recommend the experience. The guide's firsthand account was much more immersive than some blog posts about guides. You can touch the stones, feel the different temperature differences, and see the stones change color from sunrise to noon. It was a truly wonderful trip.★

Winter is the best season for stargazing at Uluru. The nights are cloudless, and the Milky Way is right above your head. Once inside the national park, it's pitch black, but the guide was very attentive, pointing out steps and helping us adjust our telescopes. In the end, we not only took photos with the Milky Way but also learned a lot about constellations – a truly worthwhile stargazing trip.
