Sadly, the Welsh weather did not cooperate. Which is understandable, considering the time of year that I booked the trip. However, the itinerary was great, and I very much enjoy the experience, despite the very wet and windy weather.

Exploring Wales Tours is an exceptional company. A small vehicle environment allowed excellent comfort and an opportunity to have a chat with your fellow passengers. The “built in” walks were at the right moment and spectacular. The Gower Peninsular is truly beautiful and a special part of Wales. The driver was excellent and guide very knowledgeable about his Welsh heritage by adding personal anecdotes. Excellent value for your hard earned money.

Gareth is very attentive, helpful and is truly committed to making his tours a great experience. He’s passionate about Welsh history and culture and wants to impart that to his tour guests. You will learn a lot which helps to enhance your experience in Wales. I took the Welsh Valleys tour as a solo traveler, and Gareth went out of his way to accommodate me and make the tour a comfortable and easy experience. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the Wye Valley, and Gareth took us to all the gorgeous sites in the area—Monnow Bridge, Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle, Castell Coch and Caerphilly Castle. All stunning Welsh sites, and Gareth gives history and background about them all. There is time to stop for snacks, lunch and bathroom breaks, and Gareth gives recommendations in each area. There is a lot of walking on this tour, so be mindful that there may be mud or rain along the way, but it’s so worth it to see these incredible sites. Gareth makes it enjoyable and easy, and for the price (which is unbelievably reasonable), it’s worth every cent. Take a tour with The Wandering Bard tours, especially as a solo traveler (you will be looked after). You will not regret it!
