Reviews: Yunnan Dali Ancient Courtyard Clay Pottery and Tile Cat Handicraft Experience
Guest User2026-07-21
Our family of four booked the Taoyao Treasure Village online the night before. It was an authentic experience. We visited the centuries-old dragon kiln, made our own tile cats, and enjoyed the simple, traditional craftsmanship. We also had lunch in the owner's courtyard. The other travelers were very friendly. Highly recommended!

Reviews: Lijiang Soul Food: Naxi Home-Cooking, Wet Market Tour & Yunnan Coffee Class
Guest User2026-09-23
My son and I had a lovely morning on this tour! Linda’s rooftop cafe is an oasis of flowers with views out to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. We learned about Yunnan coffee and tried a tasty and pure pour over cup of coffee followed by lattes showing the name of the cafe. Visiting the local market with such knowledgeable guides was a highlight. We learnt about many different foods - everything was so fresh! We then went to Linda and Afu’s home and made dumplings with a pork and morel mushroom mix. We also helped prepare a fresh chicken salad and potato pancake. Together with the dumplings - it was a feast!! A highlight was Afu showing us how to make yak butter tea. Linda was unwell so we had Christine as a guide. She was warm and spoke excellent English. She taught us about life as a local and about the local region. This tour was a highlight of our stay in Yunnan and is highly recommended.

Reviews: Lijiang Cooking Class & Market Visit: Guided by Naxi Locals, Craft & Relish Unique Yunnan Delights

Since I was in Lijiang, I was curious about where the Naxi people buy ingredients and how to cook. We went to the market together to buy various ingredients, cooked together, and ate, and it was really delicious. I highly recommend it.
