I was exploring Nuawara Eliya alone and on foot, searching for beautiful places. I wasn't quite sure where to go, as all the travel guides suggested different things. Then I met a man with his tuk-tuk who offered to show me around Nuawara Eliya. At first, I was skeptical. It quickly became clear that the man loved his homeland very much and introduced me to Nuawara Eliya in a very warm and welcoming way. We drove around Lake Gregory and stopped at some beautiful photo spots. Afterwards, we went to a tea plantation where I was allowed to take some Ceylon tea seeds. We also drove through the jungle where we could admire enormous trees. We also visited a temple where I learned about the temple and the Buddhist way of life. When my backpack broke, he helped me find a replacement and kept me away from the tourist traps. All in all, a very beautiful and unforgettable experience, full of heart and with great attention to detail. I would do it again in a heartbeat! Many thanks!

Reviews: Ella Wonders: Zipline, Falls , Spice , Nine Arches & More
Guest User2026-09-29
Great tour and excellent value for money! Our guide, Jeewa, was absolutely amazing—he spoke good English and shared so much history with us along the way. Every stop was wonderful: Ravana Waterfalls, the Nine Arch Bridge (we even caught the train passing!), and the Flying Ravana Resort, where you can hike Little Adam's Peak, zip line, or ride an ATV. The zip line and ATV cost extra, and you can also swing or wear the dress, for an additional cost. Kiru Kopi is a lovely coffee spot—the banana chocolate oat smoothie is really good. I highly recommend hiking Little Adam's Peak; it takes about 15 minutes to reach the top, so take your time and bring water. The view is worth it. Afterward, we explored the temple, and the final stop was the spice garden. There's a 200 rupee entrance fee here that we didn't know about—this part we could have skipped. We asked to be dropped back in the city. Overall, a lively day and a great 5–6 hour tour. Thanks for a great time, Jeewa!

Reviews: Nuwara Eliya Tea Tour - Plucking, Tasting & Waterfall Hike
Guest User2026-10-12
I had a great experience on this tour! The guide, Mr Kishor was very friendly and knowledgeable, showing me around and explaining many interesting things about tea, the tea-plucking process, and the local area. I really enjoyed the tea tasting and waterfall hike as well. Everything was well worth the experience, and I would definitely recommend this tour and the guide to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya!
