The sky was so beautiful. Just coming to Mauna Kea made the trip to Hawaii worthwhile. Although it looks like you could drive up on your own, the hike itself, with the scenery and expert commentary, is well worth the price. The program was well-organized, and our guide, Donna, was full of energy.

My husband and I had a great experience on this tour. Our tour guide, Sam, was very knowledgeable in a variety of subjects and made the tour interesting. When my husband lost his wallet (which we didn’t realize until after the tour), Esther and Henry helped us backtrack to the stargazing site and Rest Area the next day. Miraculously we found his wallet. Talk about customer service! Take the tour, you’ll be glad you did.

Terrific trip that I'd recommend to anyone! I felt fortunate to have booked this evening tour. It was a fun, productive, and culturally diverse trip. Our guide was a Hilo local and very passionate about the history and culture of Hawaii. We learned so much from how Hilo was formed geographically to Captain Cook to the incorporation of Hawaii in 1998 to the recent modernization of the island. The scenes were absolutely stunning, and more importantly our guide contextualized what we saw. Our guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the place where she was born. You will like the trip and her!
