We spent an amazing day being shown around by Andreas. The ride was VERY comfortable for our party of 7. He was knowledgeable about the area and made sure that we were able to travel at our own place and mindful that we could avoid the crowds as much as possible. This was such a relaxing day. Ended with a wonderful meal at a restaurant that was recommended by him and shopping. Perfect!

Excellent Archaeologist Guide, But the Transportation Needs Improvement The transportation was the weakest part of the tour. The van had poor ventilation, and the ceiling-mounted AC was not strong enough, especially with temperatures around 35°C. Sitting at the back, the 40-minute ride between the cruise port and Olympia was quite torturous. 🥵 The archaeological guide, however, was excellent—probably the best guide I’ve had on this trip. As a certified archaeologist, she brought the ruins to life, turning what looked like a two-dimensional site flattened by earthquakes into a vivid three-dimensional picture of ancient Olympia, with fascinating historical context. I highly recommend visiting Olympia with a knowledgeable, certified guide. It makes a huge difference in appreciating the site.

There are beach shuttle services that charge 1/3 the price of this one, but I chose this one because it seemed to promise an umbrella and chair at the beach. I verified this by email in advance. However, on the bus trip to the beach, the guide seemed to equivocate about whether chairs and umbrellas would be available, because it was a warm weekend day, saying she “hoped” there would be. I got a chair and an umbrella by being a little assertive when we got to the destination, but it was not apparent to me that there would be enough for all members of our group. Maybe there were. Basically Avalon seems to have an arrangement with one of the restaurants that manages umbrellas. The uncertainty about services for the money aside, the bus trip was smooth and communication before the trip was good. Do not expect a deserted beach like the pictures. The beach was crowded, but the three hours were still pleasant.

A day trip that exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was enthusiastic and attentive, and we saw all the major attractions I was looking forward to. The Bohali Castle viewpoint in town and the hot springs at Xigia sulfur beach were a mini-highlight. The seawater at this beach is rich in minerals, similar to a hot spring; a 20-minute soak felt rejuvenating! Afterwards, we boarded a boat to Shipwreck Beach, swam at White Beach, swam in the Blue Grotto, and finally visited the Shipwreck Beach viewpoint. Navagio Beach was more beautiful than I imagined; the crystal-clear, azure water was almost unreal. The photos the tour guide took were also stunning! Swimming at White Beach was an unexpected bonus. The beach was indeed very white, almost dazzlingly so! But the water was crystal clear, perfect for snorkeling. Swimming in the Blue Grotto was also amazing; you can see deep underwater caves. The final highlight was the Shipwreck Beach viewpoint. Although I had seen it beforehand, it was still breathtaking! A 10-hour island tour was well worth the money. Highly recommended!

This experience was absolutely worthwhile! The seawater was so clear it looked unreal 🩵, and the scenery was even more beautiful than the photos, especially Shipwreck Beach, which was unforgettable. The entire itinerary was well-planned, and the staff were very friendly. It was one of the most wonderful days of my trip to Greece!
