Reviews: Motuara Wildlife Sanctuary Tour and Dolphin Cruise from Picton
Guest User2026-07-19
easy to book on trip, the whole trip lead by Courtney and Daniel was most pleasant and fun, sadly we didn't get to see any dolphins, penquin due to sea weather or birds on motorua island windy weather but therer were many beautiful plants on the island and the seals were delightful to spot. lots of other sea birds along the cliffs and the commentary by Courtney and Daniel were informative. a pleasant experience overall, spotting animals is not a guaranteed thing so check for seasons and weather before booking. the yatch ride was fun nonetheless and we enjoyed the 4 hours trip. kudos to Courtney and Daniel who were constantly on the binos, we all tried too on our binos, next better trip!
Reviews: Marlborough Sounds and Ship Cove Cruise from Picton

This is a mail boat ride through Marlborough Sound to Ship Cove. It is beautiful, but was cold on March 5, 2026. We had an adequate time to explore Ship Cove, the trip was great!

A very pleasant cruise. It was a small enough group that we all had no trouble seeing the dolphins. Staff were laid back, friendly and helpful and were determined to find the dolphins and other wildlife for us to experience up close.
Reviews: New Zealand North & South Island Strait Ferry - Cook Strait Ferry: Picton-Wellington / Wellington-Picton Interislander Cook Strait Scenic Ferry (Vehicle + Passenger)

The boarding point was on the edge of Wellington's city center; we drove there. Under the guidance of the staff, everyone proceeded in an orderly fashion. The ship's layout was also very family-friendly; everyone could choose their seats freely, making for a great journey.
