Reviews: Great Barrier Reef
Guest User2014-04-30
Perhaps influenced by the MH370 incident and the kidnapping, there weren't many people going, making my group of four and I the only four people there that day. Whether on the bus, on the boat, or at mealtimes, we felt like we had the place to ourselves.
But the tour guide and boat owner didn't let that stop them from being attentive. The food was even better than the buffet at our five-star hotel.
Because there were so few people, the boat owner even took us to see crocodiles with some locals we knew, letting us touch them, and he diligently helped us find proboscis monkeys, trying to get us as close as possible to see them.
The fireflies at night were truly spectacular, a beauty that words and cameras can't capture. They echoed the stars in the sky, making it hard to tell whether the stars were adorning the trees or the fireflies had taken flight.★

This was really amazing tour thanks to our fantastic guide Dom. He is such a storyteller and had so much te tell, and with great passion. He made this trip really interesting and worthwhile. The spots are amazing, the stained glass windows at St. Monica are just insane with the story of creation. Museum is very interesting too. Botanical Gardens are so beautiful to see. Tea and scones are very nice, and Palm Cove is just out of this world. You have to see it. Highly recommend mostly due to tremendous job of guide Dom . I wished all the tours had such a guide 🙏★

Reviews: Half-Day Tour to Hartley's Crocodile Adventures in Cairns, Australia [Includes City Transfers + Admission Ticket + Boat Ticket]
Guest User2026-10-21
The shuttle bus was very punctual, picking me up right at the hotel and leaving immediately. The driver chatted about Cairns and the rainforest the whole way, arriving at the park in about forty minutes.
The park was larger than I expected, and there were a lot of crocodiles. We caught the crocodile feeding show—large crocodiles suddenly leaped out of the water to bite meat, and the whole audience screamed. The boat tour is a must: the boat slowly enters the lagoon, with crocodiles lurking in the bushes on both sides. The guide points them out to you one by one; you get quite close, which is both a little creepy and very exciting.
Besides crocodiles, there are also koalas, kangaroos, and snakes. You can take your time to explore; there's no rush. A half-day tour is just right, not tiring at all.
The entrance fee, boat ticket, and shuttle service are all included, so you don't have to worry about it yourself, which is very convenient.
