Reviews: From Merida: Progreso, Isla Columpios & Corchito Experience

For me this was almost the perfect tour. There was only 3 of us on the day so instead of being in a massive van we were all in a SUV which was far more comfortable. Our tour Guide Ricky was an overall great vibe. between the car and Ricky it felt less lie a tour and more like we had made a friend with a local who was showing us around. There was plenty of free time at each location so we could do as we like. I do wish the stop at el Corchito was a little longer but suspect that the length of that visit was dictated by the entry ticket and not the tour. All round his was an excellent tour if you wanna see the sights without being rushed.

The tour with Fer was really great. Every single dish was fantastic, even though I'm quite picky about food.

We loved our day with Delio! Beautiful visits to the ruins, the cenote, and the yellow city. The food at the cenote home was delicious. Delio was a fabulous guide—highly recommend!

The streetfood tour experience was excellent. Usually we would not have dared to choose the small little shops, because we have no experience regarding quality. Especially when you are not proficient in speaking Spanish, it is a very good option to get accustomed to the local food. Our tourguide Diego was super kind. We loved about him, that he explained everything with competence. You could really feel that he is passionate about the local food and that everyone has a good time. Especially for us it was very helpful, that he spoke more slowly compared to other Mexicans that we know, because we were able to follow all of his thoughts. German is not as fast as Spanish. Moreover, after the trip we got an email with information on ingredients and recipes of the food that we have tasted, so that we can take this experience home. Thank you Diego, it was a big pleasure.
