the whole day was really nice! it's one of those tours that you don't have to worry about how to get to a place. in the bus they give you a booklet with all the places you should visit in both of the places and there is also audio guide for them. alberobello is a small city so 3 hours are enough to see the city,grab a coffee and enjoy the views of this unique village. matera is big and with a lot of steps so I would definitely suggest comfortable shoes,sunscreen and hat as the tour is during noon so around 14.30-16.00. You don't have a lot of time to spend to eat if you do the tour guide but it's definitely very helpful as a tour as you learn a lot about the history of Matera!
