Reviews: DMZ Day Trip: Third Tunnel/Dora Observatory/Imjingak/Includes Meeting with North Korean Defectors

Our tour guide was Yoon from Seoul City Tour and she was very funny. It's very apparent that she's a veteran as a tour guide, with great story telling skills. The information she gave was very interesting and told in an amusing manner. The tour itself was mostly interesting, especially the first part, Imjingak, 3rd Tunnel, and Dora Observatory. However, our last stop was the Reunification Village which was more of a short (sanitary) pitstop before heading back to Seoul, where they try to sell as much merch as they can to us tourists. We were lucky with the weather that we could still see a bit of North Korea at the observatory but it's a pity that the JSA tours are suspended indefinitely. I would have liked to visit the blue building from the south side this time. We had enough time at all the stops and I didn't feel rushed (which I read about with other tours). The one thing I didn't like was that our tour guide had to beg for good reviews.

I used an eSIM while traveling in South Korea, and overall it was a very convenient and hassle-free experience. The setup process was quick and easy. I simply scanned a QR code before arriving, and the eSIM was activated within minutes. There was no need to visit a physical store or swap out my SIM card, which saved a lot of time, especially after a long flight. In terms of performance, the connection was generally fast and stable. I had good coverage in major cities like Seoul and Busan, including inside subways and buildings. Internet speed was more than sufficient for navigation, social media, and even streaming. One of the biggest advantages was the flexibility. I could choose a data plan that suited my trip duration, and there was no need to worry about topping up frequently. It also allowed me to keep my primary SIM active for receiving messages. However, there were a few minor drawbacks. The price can be slightly higher compared to local SIM cards, and if your phone battery

An amazing trip with so much history. Moon was the best tour guide, full of knowledge and very engaging! She gave us top tips on where the best photos are and good products to buy, even more so she shared a beautiful story of her family and their history with the divide in Korea. Can not recommend enough as you get to see so much !

There was no line to pick up. The girl helped me set up my phone. The internet worked perfectly throughout the entire trip.

The experience is a must if you visit Seoul, very close to the city, so it’s convenient to book a local tour and get all the information. Only downside is the fact that you don’t know which attractions are you going to be able to see until the date since entrance can vary due to external circumstances.
