After completing the day trip, you can spend the remaining time on your own for the second and third days to see any attractions you didn't get to see fully!
Taking taxis and the MRT yourself would be too time-consuming and expensive; Singapore's transportation costs are very high! This itinerary is highly recommended for travelers with a 3-day, 2-night short trip!★
