Had a really enjoyable day trip exploring Tainan Cigu Mountain, the salt fields and Sicao River. Sicao River was quite an experience and something different from the usual sightseeing. We went for brunch first, so unfortunately we only reached around noon when the sun was really hot. Would probably be better to go earlier in the morning. We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t climb Cigu Mountain as it was closed for maintenance, but hopefully we’ll get the chance next time. I’m sure the view would have been amazing! The salt field was definitely our favourite part of the trip. The scenery was beautiful and it was great for sightseeing and taking photos. Overall, the whole trip was very smooth and comfortable. Having a private tour was especially convenient for our group, as we had elderly family members travelling with us. No rushing around and we could enjoy the places at our

Taking the Taiwan High-Speed Rail (THSR) from Chiayi to Taipei was definitely one of the highlights of my trip. The journey was smooth, comfortable and incredibly convenient, making it an excellent choice for travelling between cities in Taiwan. The station was clean, well-organised and easy to navigate, with clear signs guiding passengers to the platforms. Boarding was straightforward, and the train itself was spacious, with comfortable seating and plenty of legroom. I particularly enjoyed how quiet and peaceful the journey was, allowing me to sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery along the way. What impressed me most was the speed. The journey from Chiayi to Taipei took approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on the train service, which saved so much travelling time compared to other transportation options. Overall, I had a pleasant experience travelling with Taiwan High-Speed Rail.

Booking Taiwan High Speed ​​Rail tickets using Trip is no problem and convenient. However, when I went to pick up my ticket at the Zuoying High Speed ​​Rail station, a female staff member, having just finished serving another customer, immediately placed the handover tag on the counter. Then, when I went to another male staff member at a different counter, she immediately removed the tag and served the next customer. Her service attitude made me feel very uncomfortable.

Everything was perfect. The pick-up location isn't well described. The other reviews are very helpful here. You can get the card after baggage claim in the public area. The MRT entrance is right by the back wall at the entrance, before the barrier.
