Reviews: New Zealand Mount Cook Tasman Glacier helicopter + glacier hike + blue ice cave

The local team is very professional, with their own store in the town. The store has a parking lot, training room, changing room, and a huge cultural and creative gift shop. They are very professional! After four hours, it was not as tiring as I had imagined. On the contrary, it was full of fun and a first-time experience for me.

Reviews: Mount Cook Tasman glacier helicopter and ski plane dual aircraft sightseeing experience (includes snow mountain landing)
Guest User2026-05-31
It was quite interesting. We originally wanted to book a 3-hour session, which included about 2 hours of glacier hiking, but it was always fully booked. So we changed to this ski lift + helicopter tour + 20-minute ice activity. During the chechin, we were asked to pay an extra NZ$20 fuel surcharge per person. While I can understand this, it wasn't mentioned beforehand, so it was actually a breach of contract by the business.

Reviews: New Zealand Mount Cook Tasman glacier helicopter sightseeing + glacier hike | professional equipment provided

Overall, booking through Trip.com was excellent, and customer service was readily available. Although the flight was cancelled due to weather conditions on the day of the trip, we were able to reschedule for the following day directly through the counter. However, the original hiking tour was full, so we opted for the shorter 45-minute helicopter tour instead. Trip.com also assisted with the refund.

Reviews: Helicopter sightseeing and hiking at Fox Glacier, New Zealand | Heli-Hike
Guest User2026-06-12
We booked the 0850 slot but was then told that the 0850 slot was fully booked and that we were given an option of an earlier slot of 0750, which I accepted. A day later, we were informed again that the slot for 0850 was open again. Despite the confusion and constant change of schedule timing by the company, we had a great experience flying in the helicopter and glacier hike. The tour guides were very helpful and friendly. We ended up going for the 1150 slot as it was raining early in the morning and that the morning slot was cancelled.

Reviews: Aoraki / Mount Cook Tasman glacier helicopter/snow plane aerial sightseeing experience | optional dual aircraft/time slot

The flight over Mount Cook was the most worthwhile part of this New Zealand trip. The flight was smooth, and we got up close to the beautiful snow-capped mountains. We even stopped to play in the snow – it was such a wonderful experience, something you can't experience in China.
