The trip was fun. Beautiful scenery. We had sufficient amount of time at each stop to enjoy it. Chris, our guide, was very informative and ran the tour smoothly. I would highly recommend it.

This was a fantastic day! Everything was well organized, the tour guides, Max and Josh, were great and told us a lot of interesting stories.
Reviews: From Cardiff: Mumbles, Three Cliffs, Worms Head Gower Tour

We had a very good day out with Katie in a 7 person van with a family of four and our party of mother and daughter. It was an extremely hot day -- very unusual weather for this area but the van's air conditioning held up and we were comfortable on the road. The first hour is a bit dull driving on the motorway, but Katie kept us interested with history and natural history. The first stop -- Mumbles -- was pleasant enough but I would have opted for more time elsewhere. The second stop involved a really gorgeous hike out to see the three Cliffs. This was great going out, but coming back we were too unshaded and in too deep and dry sand to enjoy the walking. I'd suggest on such a hot day returning by the same route. This stop included the quite interesting cultural center in an old mill and time to look around. The Worms Head stop included time for lunch and a walk out as far as we wished on the peninsula. I would have liked a stop to swim or stand under a waterfall on this hot day.

Gareth is very attentive, helpful and is truly committed to making his tours a great experience. He’s passionate about Welsh history and culture and wants to impart that to his tour guests. You will learn a lot which helps to enhance your experience in Wales. I took the Welsh Valleys tour as a solo traveler, and Gareth went out of his way to accommodate me and make the tour a comfortable and easy experience. I was absolutely blown away by the beauty of the Wye Valley, and Gareth took us to all the gorgeous sites in the area—Monnow Bridge, Tintern Abbey, Chepstow Castle, Castell Coch and Caerphilly Castle. All stunning Welsh sites, and Gareth gives history and background about them all. There is time to stop for snacks, lunch and bathroom breaks, and Gareth gives recommendations in each area. There is a lot of walking on this tour, so be mindful that there may be mud or rain along the way, but it’s so worth it to see these incredible sites. Gareth makes it enjoyable and easy, and for the price (which is unbelievably reasonable), it’s worth every cent. Take a tour with The Wandering Bard tours, especially as a solo traveler (you will be looked after). You will not regret it!
