Due to weather conditions we had to change our tour date but were glad Theo sent us the information about the typhoon warning so we could do the tour a day earlier. It was such a special experience to see a whale shark up close and swim above it, watch it circle around underneath us and occasionally blink hello with its friendly eyes. The trip was even more wonderful with our very nice guide Theo who carefully explained everything in detail and prepared us well for the snorkeling (one of us snorkelled before once and the other never did). In the end it wasn't difficult or scary at all, just a once in a life time experience. Those memories will stay with us forever! Also a heartfelt thank you to our very caring guide in the water, Fuka, who was very sensitive and helpful with our little starting problems in the beginning because it was all so overwhelming and new. She took wonderful pictures and made amazing videos of Jinbe-san and us. ほんとに ありがとうございました! Instagram @guide_okinawa_ohlala

As it is the first day that the tour is launched, there's some teething issues but not of much concern. The night lights at the botanical gardens design is special and the lotus garden was magnificent. Light shows are available 3 times every hour and can soak in the vibes of the music and lighting. Wish the duration of 1.5h at the American Village could be longer as there's more to shop and eat there and 1.5h might be a little short.

On the first day, I used a different travel agency's Northern tour service. Although it claimed to offer multilingual support in Japanese and English, the guide only spoke Japanese, and they didn't provide a proper pickup location or respond to inquiries, making it a very inconvenient trip. Because of this, I was worried about this Central and Southern tour as well. However, two days before departure, they sent detailed instructions and even a photo of the pickup location via KakaoTalk. On the day of the tour, the guide provided basic information in Japanese, Korean, English, and Chinese, and kindly led us through every tourist attraction, which put my mind at ease. I have a very comfortable time. I highly recommend this Central and Southern tour.
