[Giza, Egypt] Right in front of the Pyramids! A hotel where you can see World Heritage Sites right from your balcony.

“Located directly opposite the main gates of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the Turquoise Pyramids View Hotel🏨 boasts a location that is literally "right in front of the pyramids"—a dream spot for every traveler.🌅 It's just a stone's throw from the famous Marriott Mena House Cairo, but at a much more affordable price!”@aynaa|弾丸トラベラー · 13 days ago
🇪🇬 I Didn’t Expect to Love This Museum… But I Was Completely Obsessed

I’ll admit it — I wasn’t very convinced about visiting the museum at first. I thought I had already seen so many photos of Egyptian artefacts online, so I wasn’t sure how different it would feel seeing them in a museum.

But once I walked inside, I completely changed my mind.

Seeing everything with my own eyes was on another level. The first thing that surprised me was the SIZE of some of the pieces. The coffins, chariots, statues and ceremonial objects looked so much bigger and more impressive in real life than they ever did in photos.

Then I started looking at the details… and that was when I became obsessed. 😍

The carvings, the colours, the gold work, the tiny patterns and even the way everything was constructed — I kept wondering how people managed to create something this detailed thousands of years ago.

Some pieces still have such beautiful colours and incredibly fine craftsmanship that it almost doesn’t feel possible that they are ancient.

For me, this museum wasn’t just about looking at old objects. Seeing them up close made ancient Egypt suddenly feel real. You start noticing the materials, the scale and all those tiny imperfections that remind you these things were actually handmade by people thousands of years ago.

I went in thinking, “Okay, it’s a museum.”

I came out thinking, “How did they even make all of this?!” 😂

Definitely give yourself enough time here. Don’t rush from one famous piece to another — some of the smaller details ended up being the things I enjoyed looking at the most.

Absolutely worth visiting, even if you’re normally not a museum person. 🇪🇬✨
